Daley Lifts Stars to 3-2 Win Over Oilers

Mick Megough should definetly be kicked out of the NHL for his very bloody pathetic performance yesterday. Stars obviously paid him or drugged him for that un-hockeylike victory. Megough shouldve wyped that first goal out where edmontons goaaltender dwayne roloson was obviously interfeired. It is bloody pathetic. What really took teh cake was when megough called oilers forward shawn horcoff for touching the puck. He later admitted that he goofed and you cant cry over spilt milk. He lost the game for the oilers and said he goofed. Goofed does not wype up the milk. It was a completely clean play and shouldve went into overtime. Me and 17000 fans at rexall place all agree, megough is an asshole who needs to get out of this league before he causes anymore damage.

I must agree that the call was a bad one BUT McGeough did blow the whistle before the play and it was clearly heard on all the replay tapes. Therefore, right or wrong in calling hand pass, the whistle blew and the play is to stop at that point. The Oilers had not played good all night anyway and, if the whistle had not blown, Marty Turco would have not let the puck go in. He heard the whistle and did not respond to the play. I definitely agree that McGeough was wrong in his call but the Oilers were wrong to not stop the play at the whistle. Further to that, he officiated at the Stars game just before this one and there were several wrong calls by him against the Stars. In fact, last night against Vancouver Morrow was called for using his elbow and sent out for 2:00 minutes. Again, the replay tape clearly shows that he DID NOT use his elbow and it was a clean and legal hit.

Oiler fan, I am a major Stars fan but I fully agree with your assessment of that particular referee. I always cringe when I find out that he will be doing officiating in any game we play. In my opinion he likes to "showboat" too much and if he never was at another Stars' game it certainly wouldn't bother me.
