whatever as islander fans do we really want to win these games? we have a legitimate shot at the #1 pick.. lets keep it that way. as long as the games aren't blowouts who cares? we're not making the playoffs. at least the team skates hard and has some chances/leads.

I don't understand why put Guerin, Weight and all the old slow and no way guys on the power play? Put those young creative guys we have for the power play, this upsets me the most.5-3 full two minutes and these guys can't create anything... WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE COACHES, Ted Nolan was doing the same garbage. Because these guys are old that is why they deserve to be there on the power play???????? What a JOKE

It is pretty obvious that the "so called young guys" can't score. Tambellini is an absolute waste, Oksopo isn't as good as advertised and even if we get the #1 pick Snow will trade down to 8th or 9th and get more young losers. Wnag please sell this team, your not going to ever get your lighthouse and no good free agent wants to come here. Once again we are the laughingstock of the NHL. Most of the college hockey teams can beat these losers. And what of DP, another brilliant move when they signed him till 2015. What a freakin joke. God bless the stanley cup teams, you will never see it wearing an Islander uniform again.

When has the number one pick in the draft ever help this organization? Can you say Brett Lindros?

Bailey showed nothing today except that he's capable of taking stupid penalties at the wrong time-

Down by a goal late in the third with momentum on the Islanders side, Bailey takes a stupid penalty that just about leaves the Isles shorthanded for the balance of the game.

GORDON'S FAULT- He should not have this kid on the ice at a critical point in the game. Give him one shift a period to get his feet wet...that's it.

How long is Garth Snow going to wait before fireing Scott Gordon . The Islanders are mired in minor league plays in a major league world . It's just not working ! Maybe Garth should fire himself as well , as none of his ideas have brought victory to our team . Tired of being a door mat !!

Another great effort by my team today fans! I hope you were as pleased as I was. We only lost by two goals! I consider this a major accomplishment and testimony to the efficacy of "the system". I must say, I made a brilliant move by starting "Beetle Bomb" Bailey. Did you see the way he carved pictures of Mickey Mouse in the ice, as he skated aimlessl? wow.

Poor kid, no future with this joke of a team. Who knows maybe they will move off the island one day and things will work out for him.

Brett Lindros was not a #1 pick. First round, not #1. Nice try.

I cant say one person on this board knows hockey at all. jUst pathetic. This is a rebuilding year. I have sen positives. I like the system, i like Neilsen, Okoposo is going to be a good player in 2 years. Hes 20. Jordan Staal is 20 and he isnt even close to being at the top of his game. You people are ridiculous! This Just In: There are 4-5 better teams in the east than the ranger$

I feel your pain. So-called fans do nothing but whine. They knew coming into this year with a new coach & new system things will not happen overnight but they insist on complaining game in & game out. They never see the positives because they want instant gratification like they got their whole pathetic lives when mommy & daddy handed them everything.

This team will be good. Patience.

LETS GO ISLANDERS!!!

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Libra

It's one of those difficult days when anything can and will happen. Someone you were relying on might let you down, plans could be changed at the eleventh hour or a machine could go on the blink. To make matters worse, your energy levels are very erratic, so you feel full of beans one minute and ready to go to sleep the next. Don't make the situation worse by eating foods that give you a high followed by a slump.
