Not sure what you point is? It's easy to be fans of certain markets that have cash behind the team, others have definite low points. My hubby has been a Pirates fan for over 30 years, should he throw in the towel now cause they haven't posted a winning season in I don't even know how many years. Are you saying I should have threw in the towel on my Pens even tho I've been a fan over 20 years over those few awful years, and forget about the triumphs of their Stanley Cup seasons?
For whatever reason when I was a child/teenager I picked my favorite sports teams, they are not Philly teams, why people in this area have such a hard time with locals liking other sports markets is beyond me. Our teenager doesn't like any of the teams his father or I like, I think that's wonderful.
Right now we are enjoying the playoffs since all our teams are in it -- Pens, Bruins and Devils.
My point is they are not a good franchise. They have a couple of peaks but the valleys are long and woeful. They put a nice string of losing seasons together and get top draft picks which put them where they are now.

I don't mock you because you're a Pen's fan. I'm glad they're doing well and not leaving for Las Vegas like everyone predicted. But like my name, I bleed Black and Orange and come game time I'm all Flyers.

Good luck to your team tonight. It'll be a tough contest and I wish the day was done so we could get the puck dropped already.

Let's Go Flyers!

Gaysburgh fans are frontrunners. They love the Pens now that they have a good team. Where were they years ago when the team was lousy and was going to be moved? Had to promise these losers we were going to build them a new arena so they would stay.
I was there as a fan since the early 80's! Yes the flyers have always had more $$$ and a better arean deal the the Pens. Good for them, however that is changing! Lets go Pens!

I find it a little troublesome when 7 yr old are allowed to tell you to "suck them off" and their parents cheer. In any situation that is inappropriate. I don't care where you are or what you are doing. Children are not allowed to act like that. But, it is you pieces of trash that possess that moronic Philly mentality who find it to be appropriate and amusing behavior. It really is a reflection of your collective mental capacity. Learn some respect and appropriate behavior in public.

Pens will never be a large market team...even with Sid and Malkin.

The reason for new stadiums is that taxpayers pay for them. About time the pittsburgh peoplepay out for one for the Pens.

I was in Pittsburgh for game 2 and a FIVE year old told me to go F your mother. Can you imagine a five year old in Pittsburgh saying that.

That abusive Pittsburgh mentality is dangerous and destroying our youth.

Wow...see how easy it is to make up lies you and the original poster.

You know that saying someone is lying is the only way that you can defend actions like that. You cannot defend it, unless you think it is ok. So, in order to create some kind of defense, you need to pretend that it didn't take place. But, unfortunately and shamefully so, it is absolutely true. This doesn't show that you or those who were involved represent your team, it means that you are an ignorant piece of crap. I think that many within the Flyers organization would also feel the same way. Hockey players are generally mature, respectful individuals. I hope that one day you have a kid and he acts like that, and whomever your kid spouts off to breaks your face in two. I just hope that there aren't 20,000 morons around who will defend you. I find it unbelievable that you or whomever would support and defend actions like this and whatever else takes place down at the Wachovia Center. I've been to many games in Pittsburgh, some against the Flyers...and nobody acted like that. Everyone, had a good time in good fun because they love hockey. The fact that you support and defend actions like that really says a lot about you and your intelligence/ morals.

You are such a moron...I hope someone dunks your head in a toilet today just like in High School.

Anything that you want to believe is truth...anything that anyone says that you disagree with is a lie?

Wow...I think they call denial my friend.

There was no 7 year old acting like that in Philly - that poster was a liar. Kids and adults act the same in and around the stadiums in both cities. There are great fans and there are terrible fans.

Well, I'm humbled this morning as I watched our boys go down last night. It was a valiant effort and they outplayed Pittsburgh in every facet of the game except the one that matters; the scoreboard. Hats off to MAF for a spectacular game. Call a cop because he stole that game from us.

While I'll be watching and pulling for the Flyers to climb back in, Pens have all the momentum now and the Flyers have never rebounded from a 3-1 deficit to win a series.

Just wait'll next year!

I would not say that I am humbled...just more frustrated. This is the effort that would have given them home ice in the first round or even a higher playoff seed.

I have no problem with the Pens coming out with more goals in a game like this. Fleury was amazing and the flyers powerplay unit was MIA.

I do have a problem that the first goal was what it was. I do not know what goaltender interference is if this was not that.

The sequence as I saw it.

Flip pass by Kunitz, Biron starts to slide to his left, puck hits middle of Crosby's stick, Crosby's skates drive Biron back and prevent him from getting to the left side of the net, puck bounces off crosby's arm, both players are being pushed into the net, puck hits crosby's chest, all three are over the goal line.

If he knocks it in over the line before making contact, I would not be saying anyhting...but he made contact and prohibited the goalie from positioning in the crease to make a play...that is interference. That is not something that replay can judge. On ice ref has to signal that...it was not called, because look at who it was.

It was a garbage goal no doubt but great teams rebound from things like that. The goose egg for 8 on the powerplay says it all. If you go by PP stats, we should have had 2 in the net. Again, Fluery was stellar and deserved the W.

Hey, somebody took my title, lol!

Anyway, super props to MAF last night on some amazing goaltending. The Flyers give it their best, but what can you do again a wall like that?
I can only wish a comeback, but that's nearly impossible.

I think all of us Flyer fans now know what the Caps fans went through last spring with Biron. Did the same thing when he stood on his head against that team.

Remember...Philly was up 3-1 in that series and that went to an OT in game 7. Anything can happen.

I believe Carcillo (OMG...did I just say that) when he said that if is the game that they play on Thursday that they will be back in Philly for game 6 and the crowd behind them?

Just hope and pray.
