It's about time boys. This series could be 2-1 Flyers if they knew how to stay out of the sin bin.

It will be the Pens in 5. I knew the Flyers would win yesterday. They came out hard and played a good game. The Pens will be ready on Tuesday.

This game showed the Flyers are really "Hungry for More". Look out Pens!

My favorite part of this game was that they needed folding chairs in the penalty boxes for all the players in them. Hard hitting all the way!

Keep it up! Prove the statistics wrong!

Even though they didn't officially give him the 5 for fighting, I loved Claude Giroux's Gordie Howe Hat Trick. Goal, assist, and a fight. Come on Coach Stevens, Gagne, Giroux, and Briere! The new French Connection!

Giroux is something else. That guy has poise, vision and grit. He magically passes the puck to the open man. Philly better keep him!

You have no clue what you are talking about.

So you are saying that the Pens walked into Philly and were not ready to play? They are up 2-0 have all the confidence in the world, have beaten the Flyers up, skated around them, and then simply stopped?

And you knew you the Flyers were going to win?

That to me sounds like a Pens fan treading water and making excuses so they do not have to think about the "what if this is the result when both teams play their best" issue at hand.

pens in 5 means they get to finish the series out in pittsburgh, which means more $ for the team and city. same thing happened last year.

NO, read the comment. The home team always comes out flying after 2 games on the road. The Flyers game out and controlled the game just like the Pens did in game one. So no treading water here. Pens in 5.

The Flyers need to match yesterday's intensity. They were fired up and despite some defensive lapses that cost the lead they rebounded well.

If JC would have lifted that puck in game two we have the series lead. Then again, you can "what if" all day. Richards hit the post 3 times in the first game, Malkin hit the post on his first shot yesterday. Those go in and it's a different story.

I'm going out on a limb and I'm saying that if the Flyers win tomorrow night, we will win the series in 7. If we lose, we're done.

Let's Go Flyers!

LMAO, thanks for the chuckle on this gloomy Monday. If you want to be accurate, the only team in Pittsburgh that sux is the Pirates (I know, I married a Pirates fan).

The Pens are only good because they sucked so bad for so long they got a butt load of draft picks and then won the Sidney Crosby sweepsteaks. The team nearly folded 2 years ago.

LOL, how many super bowls have they won???? The Pirates usually blow but i could care less about baseball of basketball. The Pens are a good franchise, they have built that team back up and with the new area coming they will have long term success.

Yeah. When your picks in 5 consecutive drafts are something like 5,1,2,1,2 you have been an abysmal team.

Good for them for picking these players...but you are correct they had to stink up the joint soooo bad to become good again.

Flyers have 32 playoff appearances in 42 years of being in the playoffs - 76% of their years have been playoff years.

Pens? 23 of 42 years - 54% And what do you see before they turned it on in the early 80's? Another string of 6 horrible, abysmal years resulting in the overall draft picks of 1,2,4,5,4,16,5.

It is a shame that they have to be the joke of the league half a decade to rebuild through the draft, but if you like that sort of thing anyone that likes the Pens deserves to be a fan.

Not sure what you point is? It's easy to be fans of certain markets that have cash behind the team, others have definite low points. My hubby has been a Pirates fan for over 30 years, should he throw in the towel now cause they haven't posted a winning season in I don't even know how many years. Are you saying I should have threw in the towel on my Pens even tho I've been a fan over 20 years over those few awful years, and forget about the triumphs of their Stanley Cup seasons?

For whatever reason when I was a child/teenager I picked my favorite sports teams, they are not Philly teams, why people in this area have such a hard time with locals liking other sports markets is beyond me. Our teenager doesn't like any of the teams his father or I like, I think that's wonderful.

Right now we are enjoying the playoffs since all our teams are in it -- Pens, Bruins and Devils.

Typical Cryer fan moron. Watch the game and stop running your mouth. I'll tell you what, I went to the game yesterday and The Cryers and their fans are an embarrassment to hockey and the NHL. For Christ sake, I had a 7 yr. old tell me to suck his ....and his parents cheered him on. Really classy, what an embarrassment. Social Services needs to be called. The Wachovia Arena is the only place where the "sucks" chants are louder than the cheers when the Cryers score. It really is a testament to the collective mentality of the team and their fans. Scumbag city, scumbag team, and scumbag fans. Can't wait to see you out of the playoffs. Acting like a moron doesn't help your team, and it doesn't mean you like your team any more or less. So start running your mouth's @ me now.

This what I think will happen if the flyers win tommorow I think they win in 6 games. I say that because the big guns finally got going. I dont think it will make a difference who the pens try to match up agianst any of the top 3 lines. Giroux got his feet wet, and contributed last game. Gagne is sniping. Richards got a fluke goal which got him out of a slump where he was hitting posts. They are starting to get there pp and pk going. Biron had a good game. I think fleury may be having nightmares of the snipers of philly, he wasnt looking to confident. Bottom line I dont think the pens will win another game. Belive me I know how that sounds but when philly gets rolling they are extremely hard to stop.

What part of that post was "running your mouth to you?"

Gaysburgh fans are frontrunners. They love the Pens now that they have a good team. Where were they years ago when the team was lousy and was going to be moved? Had to promise these losers we were going to build them a new arena so they would stay.

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Libra

An emotional situation is as clear as mud today. You aren't sure about your feelings for a certain someone, nor are you convinced that you know what they're playing at. They may be saying one thing and doing another, and you might even suspect that they're playing games with you or trying to get what they can out of the relationship. Or maybe you're imagining the whole thing? Admit it - at this stage you simply don't know.
