Who is this Campbell at the NHL? How can he say he might not "look" at the video, I thought the league office was in charge of the teams. This is another reason why the NHL is the laughing stock of the sports world. The sport is great, but the people who run the league have their own personal agendas that hold the sport back. Must be better for them at the league office to have a Canadian team win. what a shocker. Welcome to 1984 everybody

This is exactly why professional hockey has no following nationwide except in the hockey hotbeds.
I love hockey, especially high school and college hockey. Living away from MN the only way to see a hockey game is to subscribe to the Direct TV package. Sad.

If it were Boogie they'd have tossed him out of the game it occured in AND suspended him for additional games. Officials are making a joke of every level of the sport with their team/player biases. More and more are not impartial, but it seems that may be coming from the top. Overhall needed.

Why allow a player with a history of concussions (read micro bleeding in the brain, permanent damage that accumulates) be allowed to play a high contact sport with high risk of repeat concussions? Bare knuckle boxing was outlawed years ago. Bare knuckle fighting in professional hockey for spectator entertainment is as barbaric as cockfighting or dogfighting. Really class NHL teams don't have and don't need goons. Academic teams don't allow fighting, nor should they. Love a good staged rumble? WWF is there for you!

I understand your point, but if you outlaw fighting in the NHL it will turn into a game full of cheap shots and high sticks. There are too many teams for the amount of talent available. The result is marginal hockey players who earn their spot by intimidating other teams' players via cheap shots. I don't think fighting is the greatest part of hockey, but the paradox is it certainly has its place in keeping the sport clean..er.
