Bates out with hip injury

Two games into his comeback from abdominal surgery and related injuries, Shawn Bates suffered a hip injury that knocked him out of the lineup against Atlanta last night at Nassau Coliseum.

I think we have spent enough time and energy on Bates.He is taking up a roster spot that can be used by someone productive ,like Tambellini.

Theres only two reasons he's here: 1. The Mass. conection (Snow & DP) and 2. The penalty shot from the 01-02 playoffs...other then that as the other 3 postings says he adds nothing...time to move on!

Absolutely correct, ive been saying that very thing for a long time, it goes back to mad mike milbury and his mass. connections, also several isle players are affiliated with mass.
