I've like Shawn Bates since he's joined the team and I hope he's healthy to play. That being said, I was kind of sad to see that they sent Bootland down. I really thought he brought some good qualities (high energy, active in the offensive zone, not afraid to shoot the puck) to the team other than just toughness/enforcer qualities. Hopefully he'll be back up soon.
Anyone know why Hilbert is still with the team? Uggh. |

i don't understand why todd bertuzzi has been universally demonized since the greg moore incident, but newsday seems to be in love with chris simon. let's keep in mind simon was centimeters away from possibly KILLING another player with his stick. and posters like "The Johnler" are exactly why islanders fans will never have any respect throughout the nhl. that and the fact that they don't show up to games that aren't against the rangers.

I believe that once you have a suspension refs' look for every little excuse to nail you with another.
In my opinion 85% of Chris Simon's suspensions have been due to accidental incidents. This goes way back to Junior Hockey in Sault Ste. Marie. |
