Let's go Doobie! I think with the Isles special teams and the passion and energy they've been playing with can create a very competitive series and possibly move on to the 2nd round...Ted Nolan for coach of the year!

I don't believe this. They would actually risk DiPietro's health even more? The playoffs are a completely different season where the anty is upped quite a bit. The guy has already suffered two concussions within a week. Even an incidental bump to the head and he would probably be done. That isn't good for him or the team.

Koolaid alert, 33% of the poll respondents believe the ISLES will win the Cup! How's that for a reality check? Was this poll taken in a mental ward? ISLES are done in 5 games with Sabres and it takes some lucky bounces to stretch the series to 5 games.

Hey MSG4EVER, remember when Simon was given his suspension, everyone was talking about how many games he'd be suspended if the islanders made it to the stanley cup. Every was talking about the islanders making it to the finals, newspaper writers, sportscasters, everyone. so 33% is actually a low number.

whats wrong, tiger spring training message boards a little slow this time of year?

Look at the Rangers poll...exactly 33.3% of their fans think THEY'RE going to win the cup. Kind of ironic, huh?

i love how people get in arguments over something that MIGHT happen. If you think about it, its just about the most rediculous thing to do. Since not a single person on this planet knows what the outcome is going to be, why even bother arguing about it? Doesnt everyone else have at least ONE thing better to do? No wait, guess not.

Unfortunately no, Ranger fans dont have anything better to do but to harass Islander fans and butt into our blogs!

If you really watched the Isles down the stretch, I don't know how you can think they can win even one game in this series, unless Buffalo sleepwalks
in a state of overconfidence. The Isles have no speed other than Blake,
their play in their own zone has been atrocious and they generate little or no offense at even strength on any consistent basis. And through it all Nolan acts like he's OK with it, offering not a hint of outrage after the 57 shot debacle vs NYR, which started the near fall out of the playoff picture. Oh, and by the way, can Bergeron hit anything but the end boards with that big shot that they go to such lengths to set up on power plays?? Kevin Lowe is no dope, Bergeron looks like another Dick Tarnstrom - a huge defensive liability
with a good shot that hits the net once a week.

Ranger fans and Steve Sommers, Kaptain, WFAN Racist Radio, are fast. They can lift your wallet in a Noo Yawk minute. But listening to those Angry Italian Phreaks defending Imus...makes Sommers (Ravens win the SuperBowl) sound logical.

Past years playoff experience shows top rated teams getting the boot in the first round by underated teams in thier division. Islander bring thier "A" game to a Buffalo team that's looking at this like a cakewalk, you can take them in 5-6 games.

Welcome back Rick! The Isles playoff future continues to brighten...Zednik, DP...can't wait for the Isles to take the ice. If Dubie can hold down the fort for a couple of games we can make this a series...

You're just hoping that the Sabres sleepwalk because the Senators continually choke against them in the playoffs.

He's no roadrunner (more of a grinder than a game predicated on his great speed). Even if he is a good skater - does that change the disparity in skill between these two rosters in there entirety? Zednik
has barely played, and when he did, Nolan cited his lack of effort. The guy was a healthy scratch in the second of the back to back games vs NYR in March, and we had just acquired him to help down the stretch! He's another castoff that other teams keep unloading - and we pick up - to help us stay at around 16th in the league - just where you want to be every year.

Daily Horoscope for December 28

Pisces

This is another good day to be tactful, and if anything you'll be even more successful than you were yesterday. This is not to be sneezed at, so seize the opportunity to talk to people who can sometimes be very touchy or who need to be handled with kid gloves. If you meet someone who's older or more influential than you, you'll be a big hit with them.
