Wow. That play by Downie was the scummiest play I've seen in a lifetime of watching hockey. Your guys are in the media complaining about Cooke, and then Downie comes out proves he's the most worthless lump of shit in the NHL. I heard his whimpering little excuses, now that he's scared of what the league's going to do: "I was just fighting for ice and we fell down weird. I don't know." I watched that tape numerous times, and what you see is Downie skating behind Crosby and carefully placing his two legs around Crosby's one and then forcing him down to the ice. He's watching Crosby the entire time, and gives him a little "How did you like that?" smirk as he gets up. Sure, Cooke is reckless and has a nasty edge and probably should have been suspended for the Savard hit, but what Downie did was a deliberate, calculated attempt to end a player's season. It's unforgivable.

it's amazing how sid the kid bounced back from that gruesome take down. it was more than a cheap shot in my opinion. it was criminal to go after a guys knee. ovechkin leading with his knee to take out gonchar last year in the playoffs also comes to mind as dirty scumbag play. at least when cooke hits people he leads with his shoulder and just tries to jack them up. these other guys are dirt bags. awesome way the pens bounced back from the cheap shot and beat the snot out those chumps. gotta love watching the champs school another team! lol!

Thank god for Crosby's superior flexibility and conditioning. A clarification: I posted my original message on the Tampa Bay board, so that's why I said "your guys are in the media complaining about Cooke..." Like there any Tampa fans online, or any Tampa fans in general. Looked like a home game down there!
