Full story: Newsday

It's too late now for Wade Dubielewicz to author a miracle finish comparable to the one last year when the 5-10 goaltender carried the Islanders into the playoffs with four straight victories ending with his ...

How can anyone not like Dubie? To be honest, he doesn't even look like he's 5-10.

Parise? Well, another dumb Milbury move. One of many.

Trading Simon was the best thing. I'm glad everyone was happy with the trade. Nolan shouldn't be surprised the fans booed Simon. He had enough chances to do the right thing.

Islanders need a new backup lets face it. Dubie was a great story last year but now we know that Dp cant play 72 games. We need a backup that can play 20-25 games bc dp cant play as often now to keep him healthy for the stretch run. Im sorry but I dont think Dubie is cabable in playing that role. Can we please get a new backup. Oh and that passing on parise well ill never understand that one as I watched it live then.

They were losing with Dipi between the pipes. The goaltenders haven't been the major problem- scoring has! It doesn't really matter who our backup is. I like Dubie, and I think as long as he plays well (hope they don't require wins!) he'll be resigned.

Who cares, they are done.
Now you start writing all these articles about the Piles ???
Dubie made it to the NHL, why wouldn't he be a good backup ??? DUH
Maybe if he got to play a little bit, that might help.

Uh, hello, that was a joke. I think that nobody 'cept maybe crosby should get a contract that long.
As for Dubie, I think they should re-sign him, maybe two years?
As for my meds, they come at 9,2,and seven...

If he is from NY, NY then the chance are good the he is a Rags Fan. Yet another rags fan on an Isles thread.
Oh and if he lives in the city he would know a thing or too about good meds...
Either way we are all hockey fans,

nice try Dubie expalining hole in the goalie has more "touches" than anyone else. How about if he stays in the net and not be the "third" defenseman. He's supposed to be a goalie stopping the other team from scoring not going out of posistion "touching" every puck that comes into his end. Maybe if he did a little less "touching" he wouldn't be out of posistion so much and let in so many soft goals. Wish they could get rid of hole in the goalie and the remaining 12+ years left on the sweetheart of a contract he has.

Nice game for Dubie tonight... again showing that he is a quality backup.

Comeau and Okposo look like the best two players on this team.

An article says that christine quinn wants to meet with msg brass to get the fans to stop with the anti gay chatter, and the article states that there is a gay ice skating league, wow, wonder what goes on in those after game showers, games like "drop the soap", and "swallow the leader".

make dubie the numbe one goalie get rid of diepetro all together he's a write off. I've been saying this for the past two years. This whole management team has to go anyone that had anything to do with signing a crippled blind goalie to a fifteen year contract. No player in the world should be awarded a contract like that. I'm sick and tired of the diepetro excuses about how he was hurting and stayed in the game and would have won if he wasn't hurting. Bullcrap with this hero crap he stayed in because he is not a team player he stayed in because he was afraid the obvious would soon be known that dubie is the better goaltender by far. great teammate stays in until he burys the team. He tried it last year dubie bailed him and then the clown came back in took them out of the playoffs with somemore less than mediocre goaltending.

I see Bergeron is doing fine in Duckland. How can he replace a chris pronger yet can't play on the island with that bunch of wheelchair and minor league defencemen. Get rid of Gallant he's the clown running that defence (if you want to call it that)he is the one mostly responsible for giving away Bergeron. The only isle defenceman that can skate and make plays. Watch and see Bergeron in the future lads watch and see. Next year!!

Bergeron was an absolute abortion of a defenseman. Undersized, weak in the corners, countless trurnovers etc. Horrible. Sure he had a great shot and scored some goals but more times then not he'd miss the net. He played way too many minutes for us. With Anahiem they have depth on defense so they can minimze MAB's defensive blunders

Hey Jimbo, could you make a few more half-assed comments while you're at it.
Dubie is a more-than-capable backup and plays large for his size. If he hadn't been thrown to the wolves in a bunch of games, his stats would be much better. The guy has heart and he can play.
As for Okposo, so far so good. Obviously one cannot judge after only a couple of games, but nothing I've seen says that he has no game. Seems like you're just talkin out of your rear. Go back to the Ranger boards, will ya !!!???
