DP struggles early, Isles lose 5-4 in OT

DIPIETRO SUCKS! What is his problem lately? He looks terrible. The Isles showed very good poise, staying in the game and getting at least 1 pt. I'd like to see GM Snow look at Martin Gelinas or Ladislav Nagy. Actually, if Witts injury tonight is lengthy we may need to look for a rugged Dman.

Way to backcheck Kovelchuck in OT Yashin, Just let him skate in and score you are truly horrible.

BJH, youre gonna blame Yashin?! Is he a Dman? No. Is Kovalchuk one of the best players in the NHL? Yes. It was an iffy goal let up by Dunham and in Dunhams defense he wasnt even the starter so he was rusty. Dipietro is to blame for letting up 3 goals on 5 shots and getting pulled after just 5 minutes into the freakin game!! Yashin played good all night. Dont be stupid.

and another thing...learn how to spell players names if you want to be taken seriously. I mean really. Is that the first time you ever saw Kovalchuks name??? Have you ever even heard of him or what!?

Blaming Yashin for the loss last night is dumb. If the Isles are going to right this ship they need to do the following:
1. DiPi needs to get his act together. Enough said
2. Power Play needs to shoot more! I know this didn't happen last night but it has too many times this season and over the last few years. Isles would have lets say 5 Power plays in the game and 3 Power Play shots. When that is happening something is very wrong. Yeah, sometimes the defense blocks alot of shots but the Islanders seem to spend too much time looking for that pretty passing play to set up a goal. Just get some shots on net for god sakes!!!
3. Improve Discipline!!! Stop taking dumb penalties! They should be used to the rules by now. Islanders finally get some PP time in the 3rd and Hill and Poti erase them seconds later. Use your heads guys!
