Full story: Columbus Dispatch

After a decade of futility, the firing by the Blue Jackets yesterday of amateur scouting guru Don Boyd and pro scouting director Bob Strumm was hardly a surprise.

10 years, NO EFFORT. None. 10 years of losing. McConnell and Howson continue to show they dont care at all about winning games or winning hockey

Based on this it would appear that the team thinks Howson had nothing to do with the team's performance.

Or is it just that he is the one conducting the evaluations?

The wrong people got fired. Who's evaluating Howson and Priest? And how is it they still have jobs? C'mon JP - save your franchise and get real hockey people on board!

It is about time they jettisoned those two. However, that should only be the start. If Howson doesn't do something soon, then Mike Priest should jettison him as well. JP needs to decide if he wants to have a winning team, his father did, or just go to a few games and spend as little money as he can to put a minor league looking team on the ice. They should fire more and start anew. 10 years of us paying our money for what? Give us something to cheer about and we will return to fill the stands. Give us nothing, and all you will hear is echos in the building.

You care enough to post in response to the article.

And if you think you'll come to this forum for hockey talk, then you're dumber than that fool who spams these board daily, whining like a little baby. He calls himself loser, crappy, lousy, and other self depreciating names, and rails about things he knows nothing about.

If you want spam and whining, stick around. You're in the right place!
