Stupid penalties taken by Vancouver, and Mitchell's imbecilic stick chop against Buff enabled Kane to have a free chance to make the pass that led to the winning goal. Here's hoping we can finish this Monday night.

Shannon Ryan is not a good writer. There are always confusing sentences in her articles. The lede sentence in this one, for instance, makes no sense.

What a great game!

I can't wait to read the posts from the Canucks fans. Will they admit that their team was out-played, out-hit, out-smarted, and out-coached? Will they acknowledge that, while it was poorly officiated both ways, the Hawks got the worst of it, but still kept their composure? If they are true hockey fans and are honest with themselves, they will have to admit that the Hawks were the better team tonight and have been the better and more consistent team all series.

I think the tables have now been turned on the Canucks and their fans. I thought tonight that even when they went up 2-1, the team and the fans were worried, WORRIED!, that a one-goal lead would not be enough to beat this Hawks team. On the radio broadcast, Troy said it seemed like the Canucks had no plan coming into the game other than to try to hold off the Hawks if they could, and hope for a lucky break. Good luck with that. These young Hawks are maturing right before our eyes. They are working hard to eliminate the mistakes, but still seem to be having a good time out on the ice.

A great big Thank You to the entire Hawks Organ-I-Zation! I hope they close out the Canucks on Monday, and then prepare for the next chapter of this glorious season.

Oh, and Happy Mother's Day!

After game 3, Hawks fans were pissing and moaning the series was over; Vancouver was too strong. Well looked what happened!! This is play-off hockey!! Every game is a new game.

I am a Canucks fan, but Chicago played a great great game tonight. Buff with 2 goals....unbelievable.

I don't want to think how loud it will be in UC on Monday night.

Could Chicago sports fans be bigger bandwagon jumpers? Year after year the UC sits empty and now, "HEY WE ARE GOOD!!!!" and everyone is a diehard fan again.

Wrigley is the same way, you could always get a ticket until after 2003 when they made the playoffs. Now everyone happily hands over $48 to sit in the bleachers for some "old time" fun.

The Sox? I wish our real prison cells were as empty as the cell at 35/Shields.

Bulls? Go Jordan! Oops, he's been gone 11 years! Plus, the UC has the most corporate, fake enthusiasm crowd on Earth, and that is saying something for the NBA.

Bears? I picture a big fat guy with a brat droning on and on about Singletary and McMahon. At least there the fans show up though, even if it is only to get drunk and harass people.

You know, it's really difficult to see things as they really are in Chicago all the way from Hong Kong. About as hard as when your head is completely up your posterior, as is the case with "Frontrunners." Don't you have some futures to trade, Slappy?

If you don't like Chicago teams and their fans just say so.No need to sugar coat your comments say what you really mean.;-).
In the mean time is it OK if those of us that have been Hawks fans for decades and have supported the team through the good and bad times take a grain of pleasure from seeing them have some success.
Perhaps you might like to tell us which teams in the various sports you mention have fans that meet your standards of acceptability.

Another whiny canucklehead fan, this one hiding under the guise of a Hong Kong poster.

Except for the Sox, I'd put the attendance figures against any team over the last 10 years. The Hawks fan stopped going because $ Bill Wirtz was trying to put the franchise into the grave before he got there.

Sweet road win, nice power play at the end. What a play by Kane keeping it in and then making the pass to Bully. Thanks to Bieksa for taking that dumb penalty at the end. Great game by Buff and Campbell was strong again. What a great experience it was being at the UC last week for games 3 & 4, I couldn't believe how loud it was. Monday should be unbelievable, wish I could be there. Keep it rolling boys!

Sure would like to be at the United Center this Monday night. If there is another hockey team playing better than the Blackhawks right now, I would like to know who. I hope they broadcast the National Anthem before the start of the game. Go Chicago Blackhawks.

There was another dynamic going on with the Hawks' ownership. If you don't know that, than don't run your mouth (or your keyboard, as the case may be).

I'm really proud of the Blackhawks and their new (next generation) ownership. Chicago is a sleeping giant of hockey enthusiasm -- jast as it was in the good old days sitting in the second balcony and watching Mikita, Magnuson, Hall and Hull take care of business -- at $2.00 a ticket no less!
Time to finish off the Canucks -- take'em out of their misery.

Where are all the great Vancouver hockey sages this morning?

Guess they must have taken the smack and don't have much left to talk.

And wasn't the trash throwing a classy way for Vancouver fans to end their home season?

The Hawks sent the Flames packing on the first elimination game, and they should come out Monday and throttle the Nyucks. Don't let them have a glimmer of hope.
