Same problem we have been having all year long we get badly outplayed in the first period. Khabby kept us from being completely blown out by his first period net minding. I had to admire the way the Sharks were moving the puck in the first ,they had us bacck on our heels.
Toews playe the best game I have seen him play this year and itbwas good to see him have a multi goal game. That hit Greer threw is worth a suspension for sure. The players need to have more respect for each other before someone gets killed. Khabbi's injury looked like a knee'his leg seemed to be twisted. On the Sharks winning goal the give away wasnothing short of bone headed. When you are near the wall never try a pass out to the middle if there is any opposing player in a position to pickit off. If you can't carry it out play it off the wall to clear the zone. I know he was trying to get the puck to Kane but throwing out there is a crap shoot and we got burned. Campbell didn't seem to be sharp tonight. Was he intimidated by the crowd on about coming back to a team he passed on to go to the Hawks. Havlat has played better gamesand missed on a couple out good chances. Bolland's line didn't follow up on their great performance in Toronto. The first and second line carried the load tonight. Had to like Keith except for a bad give away in the decond period. Huet played well coming in cold. If Khabby is out for a while Huet will be carrying the mail and I am ok with that. Perhaps Nieme will be up for a game or 2 in the show. Other than the first period we showed that we can play with one of the best teams in the league. I feel confident now we will beat the Sharks Friday afternoon. With need a more consistent effort from every body because there are 3 periods in a game and we are only showing up for 2. Tonight was a night the Sharks could have been beaten. |

OK. I'll definitely take the point and get outta Dodge. I was hoping for a win, believed it possible, but expected a loss.
These young Hawks can play with the best. That's the lesson from last night. And that's something to be thankful for. Yeah, the Sharks were awesome in the first, but the Hawks clearly outplayed these guys in the second and especially the third. That's really saying something. Everyone who thought it OK to trade Khabby and go with Huet is about to find out how wise or foolish they are. I'm gonna stay optimistic, knowing our skaters can stay with anyone. Happy Thanksgiving to all you Blackhawk fans. Let's Go Hawks! |
