A bunch of kids from Newfoundland playing hockey on a frozen pond could beat Slovakia.

Plus ya don't see any Newfie's trying to immigrate to some eastern european sh*t hole.

PA,
You're hilarious! The Russian hockey squad didn't get a sniff of success in VanCity so now you're saying just wait until 2014 when the Games are in Sochi where, by the way, it is warmer (15/16C) this week than Vancouver. The British tabloids (and your beloved Pravda) will have a field day in their criticism of the host city!

Canada the 51st state, makes about as much sense as USA the 14th prov/territory. 2nd largest land mass in the world, spanning five time zones, and we could be considered a state? LOL..thankfully we will never have to resort to that scenario.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Gemini

You're in a warm-hearted and generous mood today, especially when dealing with loved ones and members of the family. You want to give them as much of your time as possible, and also to do anything else that will keep them happy. The only snag will come if you're trying to spread yourself too thin and you end up making promises that will be difficult, if not impossible, to keep. You may forget all about them but other people won't.
