I guess i'll post on the game here. Big game for Lalime nice comeback after his last start. A goalie needs to steal one now and then. Sharp could've scored 2-3 goals if not for Bryzgalov. It was some old time hockey 1-0...This is definately the kids team. All the veterans in the training room with injuries...Lang,Havlat nice to know we can count on you for a playoff push...Havnot should retire and join th Ice Capades. He won't get hit there...Too bad Dale couldn't have moved him...Another tough one tonight against Dallas. GO HAWKS!! Your getting into striking distance! 6 pts.

The Patrick Lalime show! Man, he was sure good last night. The two shutouts recently are a sign that the team can play post season style hockey. The problem is that all of those teams just in front of us are not going to lose at the same time. Obviously that makes the chance of getting that 8th spot remote. The six points make it tantalizingly close. The only hope is to win about 14 of the remaining 19 to have a shot. That would give them 94 points and should be enough. What is your guess Tony as to how many wins it is going to take to get in? That's assuming that some other team above them doesn't get hotter than them. If it were only one or two teams above them it would sure be easier. There are 4 ahead of them and 2 right behind. Are they capable of a long winning streak? We at least have some hope.

Tony that was a great game last night. There were quality scoring chances by both teams yet the goalies showed us some great stuff. I am a little disappointed with Havlat getting hurt again, I know he wants to be healthy but when is this going to stop. We need him in there, especially tonight. I am hoping that the Hawks can go into Dallas tonight and get a win, that would be huge for them. Lets go Hawks, and these kids can play. It is going to be an exciting finish to the season watching them play.

I said before the deadline that the Hawks will have to win 15 out of 20 to get in. The rub is as you said Chico is that they have teams to jump. I'd feel a lot more confident as i'm sure most Hawk fans would be if they were currently in 9th place. The other point is can the Hawks sustain a long winning streak to make that run. It doesn't help that your vets the guys you count on down the stretch are hurt...You know what? At least the Hawks have a fighters chance which is still better than no chance...GO HAWKS!!

Tim: The Havlat injury situation is madening. He's made of glass. The hit he took from Jovo didn't even look that bad. I believe Havlat would get hurt if he fell out of bed.
What's worse is now Lang' out ...

Chico17, I think that the Hawks will have to win 15 of their last 19 to get in. Is that possible? there are some really tough teams they have to play and beat. In looking at the teams that are ahead of the Hawks no one that is out of the playoffs scare me, I think that they can beat any of those teams. Question is will they win those games? And can they win the other games that have to win? It is going to be a close race and I believe it will come down to the last game of the season. Gotta love the parity that the cap has on a sport. What do you think?

What is the issue with Lang? I know he is out but for how long. I would really like to see Havlat play a full season and not get hurt. I just hope that some of the players that they have recalled make an impact.

As we play the Stars tonight, let us cross our fingers that Richards doesn't light us up, wouldn't that be a kick in the face.

Tim; I love the parity for the sake of the league. It makes it nice that fans of almost any team can have some hope. I, as I know you and other Hawks fans are, tired of hope and want a team that dominates for once! Tony: I agree: Havlat is just simply one of those pro hockey players that is physically fragile. It's too bad because he is such a good player. He could score 30-40 goals a year consistently if he could hold up. This shoulder thing could literally end his careeer if it isn't taken care of, in my opinion.

Tony, thanks for the update, I didn't know he has back spasms. I did hear that he is out of tonight's game. Actaully thinking about it I don't really think that Havlat has played a complete season. I know he had 2 different injury's with the Sens. Did you know that Tallon offered Lapointe a job if he decides to retire after this year. He turned it down saying that he wants to continue to play. Honestly with Richards he has been sub-par this year so far. Now with a new team he might need some time to get comfortable with his new teammates. So hopefully they make several mistakes tonight and the Hawks can take advantage of that.

Chico17 I actually like the idea of the cap. The Hawks would never be like Detroit, or the Sen's in going out and spending as much as then needed to in order to get the best team that they could. Sure they would spend some money but they would not go out and do that or they would spend it like the Rangers and still have a bad team. I just wish that the Hawks would take another step and be one of the elite teams. Look at Dallas, Detroit (eventhough they are playing bad lately), San Jose to name a few. They have been in the playoffs year after year. Which is a huge improvement from where they are now. And I know if we were in that situation we would complain that we haven't won the cup, but I would rather have a team that made the playoffs than didn't. And I do follow you with the Havlat injury, maybe that is why teams didn't want to give the Hawks a player equal to his talent level. Other teams know all about Havlat, and so do the Hawks.

I would like to see Ladd turn into Tomas Holmstrom, park in front of the net and get some garbage goals, the same could be said for Buf.

We have point men that can shoot, traffic in front would increase goal productivity.

The only thing i'm going to say about Richards having a sub par year is that the guy did'nt have any wingers to help him. The Richards that helped TB win the Cup will show up in Dallas...Hopefully after the Hawks beat them! GO HAWKS!

Bryan I too would love to see Buff stand infront of the goal. He has the size and would be perfect for that. The thing that I like about that Ladd guy was what he said to the media about going to the Hawks. He is planning on getting in front of the net and picking up some garbage goals.
