All the Lang haters should love this move. If Toews gets hurt then look out! Kontiola and Bolland better pick it up. I was hoping we wouldn't have to see K. Adams again..Can't wait till the puck drops for real! GO HAWKS!

Playoffs or bust!!!

Lang did all you could ask last year. When Havlat went down so did his production..You have to believe there will be another deal before camp breaks.

I hope the next deal is unloading Marty. To soft for the NHL.

Lang is a good guy and quality player. This was a two pronged move; first to get under the cap and secondly to create space for one of the kids. I have a good feeling that Khabibulin will be next. If he goes, Crawford and Huet will be a sound twosome and hopefully, another scorer will come back in the deal.

Terrible move. For years the Hawks have been giving the kids a chance, but they will only go anywhere with a solid combination of explosive kids and talented veterans like Lang. We need playmakers who are older than 19.
Terrible, terrible move that makes me wonder whether anything really has changed in the Blackhawks front office.

Probably a good move because Lang played pretty soft most of the time--didn't bang any bodies to speak of, just kind of hung around. Seemed unmotivated much of the time, but to his credit he has a scorers touch. The team may end up missing that because unless you are a superstar, that is the kind of thing that develops over time.

I am really surprised at the people that think this is a bad move. Lang was getting slow, and old. Last year there were many times that he just did not have the shot that he had when he was with Detroit. He was a very good player back in the day but you could tell that he was getting old. I think that the Hawks need to get a veteran center to replace him. I think that they will be fine, personally I still think that they are trying to move Khabby, and with that they can get a good center via trade. Watch this year and see what Lang does, probably not that much.

I don't know about this one. I've liked all the moves Tallon has made so far, but for some reason, I just don't feel good about this one. The younger players need veteran influence and leadership, but now... I don't know. Who can we get for under 2mil a year that can make a difference?

First real stupid mistake the Hawks have made lately....you can get too young as we have found out in the past and Lang's play and leadership were needed. He played the middle as well as anyone and with cap issues we could of gotten rid of someone else...like one of two #1 goalies...we will miss Lang's play, goals, and leadership....nice job Tallon......you keep the winners, didn't you learn anything from letting go of past players that have done well for us.....

I think people are just getting freaky over the Hawks getting too young. Lang's play on the ice last year doesn't justify all this concern about this trade. Was he that big an influence in the locker room? I don't know, I wasn't there. But just because you've been in the league 8, 10 years or whatever doesn't automatically make you some kind of leader in the locker room. I say goodbye and good luck to Robert, but I don't think he fits into their plans.
