Great guys...way to welcome the new guy and possibly secure him before July 1st unrestricted free agency! You blow a 2-0 lead to lowly St. Louis!?!?!?!?! Yeah Smyth wants to stay in a place where we can't put away an opposing team. Im sure his first thought was "Edmonton would've won this game."

If we have any chance of making and advancing in the playoffs, DiPietro has got to grow up! Last's night's immature and untimely penalty after giving up the tying goal may come back to haunt all Islander fans. DiPietro has shown just how good he can be when he concentrates on being a goaltender first and a 3rd defenseman when needed. However, all too often, he wanders from the net unnecessarily and causes the hearts of all Islander fans to skip a beat or two. DiPietro, if you are reading this, please stop the first shot, reduce the seemingly endless rebounds and let the defensemen do their job. Do that and we may just be watching hockey on Long Island in May.

Not only does Ricky have to grow up he has to concentrate better. For some reason he stays in his net and square to the puck against the Rangers and Devils but when facing the rest of the league he does a great flounder imatation. They might as well put skates on his stomach and knees.DiPietro is the weakest link on an otherwise well built team.

greg, there are times when the team is reeling and/or tired and all the momentum is with the enemy. last night after the first st louis goal was such a time, and it seemed a logical time for the coach to call time, for several reasons. i can't recall nolan doing so at any similar point this year. is it because he thinks it may signal some lack of confidence or shakyiness ? i just don't get it. sometimes you just have to stop the opposition's momentum, calm things down and gather your forces. any insight?

Give my two year old schnauzer a hockey stick and he would beat DiPietro to the glove side. This is the beginning of a slide. We will not make the playoffs. I foresee bad times ahead. Gloom and doom.

Ok the final 3 min's of that game wasn't good.
But before you blame Ricky, it was a team
loss.. The second goal was tipped. Ricky's
job is to stop the puck. He is doing that
very well this year. He has 5 SO, his save %
is over 910. GA is in the mid 2's. If Rick
didn't stand on his head for most of the
game last night, this game would have been
over in the 1st period. It is the job of the
D-MAN to clear the zone, if our D was better
at that then we would have not had a problem.
Ricky had 38 saves last night, but how many
shot's missed the net that Ricky had to move
for. I bet it's another 15-20 shots.
Our Goalie is not the problem..
By the way look at the 3 stars named for the
month of Feb by the NHL. Ricky is # 2, just a head of Marty, you know that Hall of FAME goalie that will have his own wing in the HALL when he retires.

Haa haaaaa. Word is out senior, Florida is LAME AS HELL. I, like EVERYONE ONE I KNOW are using Florida, then leaving it to the next people. Most would probably move to, well, anywhere else. Florida is a rental player.
