The Black jersery are available again at Fandemonium inside the UC. You may also want to try Gunzo's on Madison Street in Forest Park (probably a little cheaper).

Noise in the barn was an absolute factor in key games. Hawks would be down a goal at the beginning of the third and every time they touched the puck, the noise was absolutely deafening. Nine times out of ten, they would score within 5-7 minutes and then the noise would become a real rattler. Mind you, opposing teams didn't get rattled so much as the Hawks became empowered, by such frenetic support.
When I think of crowd influence, I, again, think of JP Bordeleau, emboldened by the din, making that move from the left circle, splitting determined defensemen and flipping it into the upper right corner of the net. It was a spine tingler!

We have a couple of candidates to do an even better JP thing and for longer. They just need to get some consistency doing it.

Thanks Bryan and Tony. I guess great minds think alike :).
The Sharks are tough. Thornton, Marleau, Grier, Cheeechoo upfront, Alexei Semenov (6' 6", 245#) on the blue line - and they added Rob Blake this year (I know he's old - but he's the Steve Smith type defenseman I think the Hawks need).
Not to take away from the Red Wings Stanley Cup from last year, but they got a bit lucky in the sense they avoided SJ and Anaheim in the playoffs. I wonder when the Sharks will break through and win the Stanley Cup. They've got the personal to do it - and I think they would have the Wings' number in an extended series. Kudos to Doug Wilson for fleecing the Bruins with Thornton and the addition of Blake to a solid veteren club appears to be a good move. I hope the Hawks avoid them in the first round (if we get in)- because facing the Sharks - sight unseen could be a short series for the Hawks....
I have been calling the Sharks to go to the Cup finals for the last 2 years and they are my choice again this year. I guess if i keep predicting them to do it they will eventually get it done. You are absolutely right they have the guys to do it and Thornton is a horse.

Daily Horoscope for January 7

Cancer

You feel the urge to move onward, powered by your wisdom: when you're right, you're right. You may feel that any further explanation is unnecessary, but the people you're dealing with might need it spelled out for them. Take the time to draw a picture or use smaller vocabulary words to get your point across, Cancer. A public demonstration will probably prove to be the last word on the subject.
