Though dissapointed it was still another great year of hockey. Would love to see them bring back Antropov and ofcourse they need to resign the kids. Zherdev will probly be on his way out along with Morris,Orr, and hopefully Vorros. With Dubinsky, Callahan, Anisimov, Staal, Girardi, Gilroy, Potter the future and present are very bright. Pisles fans can talk all the smack they want. These kids are damn good and we are not waiting for future draft picks and pipe dreams of one day being a playoff team again.

You've been drinking using drugs and out in the sun too long. The Rangers SUCK always have and always will. One championship in 70 years. Repeat one championship in 70 years!

The team needs work-
Not a major overhauling but definitely needs to improve-
Some addition by subtracting would be kicking Zherdev to the curb....he's useless and doesn't care about winning- he's in it for the paycheck- Too stupid to understand that the paychecks go away once a team realizes you don't care about winning-

SIgn Colton Orr....he's actually becoming a better skater/player. Rosival can go- Naslund did not impress either-
The jury will be out on Gilroy....is he ann NHL caliber player ??

No matter what happens next season atleast we know the Rangers won't be the shiddiest team in this market- The KC Scarecrows will still retain the title-

Ahhh another classy response...those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones my friend.

Get rid of Rosival? That's funny because isn't he signed to an overpaying, longterm deal? So what you just kick him to the curb too so Zherdev has someone to sit next to? And then what? Eat his contract which will be a hit against the cap?

I know you're disappointed about your team but be realistic and worry about your Rags and we'll worry about our Islanders. See ya next season....

Seriously...Sather is a worse GM than Snow. For him to even complain about calls against Avery is patheic.

He has so much more to his advantage to put a nice team together....

Regardless of what happens with the Rangers it's still fun to be a Ranger fan- Although we'd love to contend for or win the cup every season we all know it's not possible, but it doesn't matter because we pack the place with true fans no matter the situation, unlike some other fans who root for some other teams- Part of the fun of being a Ranger fan is to laugh at the Islanders and their fans-
I know it's not right to pick on the less fortunate but sometimes we can't help ourselves...it's too easy and too funny to listen to the crying and the whining and all the excuses every year- This is the only reason Ranger fans care about the Islanders...it's because them and their fans are like our little b-otches that we smack around year after year-

Yeah keep laughing at us Putz-o. You guys just choked after going up 3-1. The entire NHL is laughing at the rags not the isles right now, especially since we'll be drafting a top player, one who will draw other players and our fans back to our team.

Enjoy going after another loser and winning another July 1st cup.

And please stop insulting us with your low level of intellegence by stating that MSG is packed with "real" fans, puleeze. 90% of that place is corporate give-a-ways. Your real fans sit up in the blue seats, about 4 blocks away ffrom the puck, so shut the hell up junior!

Chock full 'o excuses.

Queen Henrik clammoring for goals. How's about stopping a puck over the final 3 games, buddy?

Torts w/no time to implement his system... uhhh, huhhhh. Whatever.

Sather -- non-calls on Avery. You claimed this clown who no one respects... what has he done to earn respect.

Fact is, the Rangers shouldn't even have gotten that far or been in that series for 7 games. That was gravy. You're all just too jaded and pumped up on "i love myself" juice to realize it.

Reality sometimes is a tough pill to swallow. Now hit the links and enjoy that mid-round pick.

Mediocrity leads to success. It does. Really. You'll see.

Actually, he's the worst GM in the league. One day that blind squirrel will find a nut.

One day Dolan will realize that the brand name isn't always the way to go...

1. Sather
2. Tortorella
3. Redden
4. Drury
5. Gomez

I'm sure there will be some other folks to add to that list come July 1.

A few Bobby Holik's and Theo Fleury's.

Maybe Glenn will go wait on their lawn w/a suitcase full of cash, a contract, and a pen. I'm sure he will, and I'm sure he'll put a failure on the ice once again.

You state that the NHL is laughing at the Rangers. Nobody is even thinking about the Islanders. Nobody cares, they are a non issue.
You should just hope your top draft pick doesn't go the way of your last top draft pick. Sitting in the bleachers collecting a huge salary until 2021

Level playing field my ****.

Many players (who often love themselves) are smitten w/the idea of playing in the Big Apple on Broadway.

See Scott Gomez for example. The guy thought he was larger than life and would be a marquis player on the Rangers so the 1st chance he got, he lept out of NJ.

Guess that grass ain't looking as green as your money, huh Scott?

I guess he got his Cup Rings (no thanks to him) and now he can schelp it up on a floundering team.

Back to the level playing field.... the Rangers have a huge advantage based on their (ill-conceived) history and brand name.

You think that (and fat cash) had anything to do w/Gilroy signing there. I'll tell you this, it wasn't the opportunity to earn a cup ring.... even I know that much.

Actually, if the Rick doesn't make it back, it's no skin off anyones back outside Isles ownership. It's no cap-hit so from a fans PoV, it's a non-issue.

Back to the NY Chokers for a second (and what an epic choke that was -- have to say, I loved every second of that series). From watching the Ranger fans get excited and giddy to having their hearts ripped out. LOVED IT.

Moreso I loved the baffoonery and bitching of Sather, Torts, and Avery.

Salt in the wounds was the King looking more like a Queen.

Now... onto the Islanders. I fully expect them to be garbage over the next few seasons so let the insults flow. We know where we are (most Isles fans are realistic -- not blinded by glitz and glimmer like you sad saps).

It's really a painful offseason thus far for us Islander fans. It really is.

1. winning the draft lottery
2. watching the Rangers lose in heartbreaking fashion
3. watching the Devils lose in heartbreaking fashion
4. hearing the prospect of the Isles moving to Queens -- KC ain't happening. Look no furhter than the Isles Cable Deal (thanks Dolan!!!) for justification. That won't follow them off the Island - thus, they ain't moving.
5. Pens advance -- ups the Isles pick to a 3rd for Guerin
6. Sharks bow out early -- ensuring the Isles of the 26th overall pick rather than the 30th
7. Isles w/2 1sts; 3 2nds; 2 3rds; the flexibility to do essentially whatever they want in one of the strongest and deepest drafts in years.
8. One of Tavares/Hedman/Duchene donning an Isles jersey (or quite possibly 2 of them depending on how the Isles orchestrate trades) on June 26th.

What's next? Mike Komisarek come July 1?

What an awful offseason? How's yours going? Do I have to disect that disaster too? Good luck making cap room -- Drury, Gomez, Redden, Zherdev. Callahan and Dubinsky seeking big raises.

Let the good times roll...

Enjoy that sack of potatoes you get for Zherdev. Think anyone wants him after that disasterous showing? Good to see Tyutin doing so well in Columbus.

Gilroy... hehe, there's a guarantee.

Rangers do have some decent guys in the farmsystem. You're going to need them too considering GM Glen's got you pushed at the cap max w/it expected to drop in 2010-2011.

Don't fret. A few buyouts and you'll be okay.

6.5M on Reeden
6 on Drury
6 on Gomez
4 on Avery
6.5 on the Queen

You'll have flexibility. Sure you will. Rangers will be a playoff team next year. Another 8th seed will be perfect. Just enough to keep them mediocre at best.

I'd rather endure a few brutal seasons w/the prospect of building a winner than be subject to whatever it is that Sather's trying to do w/your squad.

When you figure it out what it is he's doing -- or learn that he's in his office throwing darts at a wall -- let us all know. I'm very interested to hear so I know what NOT to do in life.

First off, even if a big percentage of seats are corporate seats, who give a damn-
It makes the team financially sound and continues to make money year after year-
What's your point ?

Second- We're still laughing at you and the whole circus out there in Uniondale-
It's not all bad though....you do have the blimp flying around, the skating ice whores shooting t-shirts and last but not least...how we forget - SPARKEY-

Now go away you little wee-todded Islander fan-

Zherdev can go take a walk, Morris and Mara need to go to make room for Gilroy and Sangunetti, Callahan, Korpikoski, and Dubinsky are the speed, size and youth for Torterella's system. Sather needs to find a new home for underachievers like Chris Drury, and Markus Naslund. Then sign a real first line center in Vancouvers Henrik Sedin in free agency, and find a way to rid the Rangers of Wade Redden. As for Islander filth on this board 26 years and counting of irrelevant hockey have fun watching them in Kansas City, Houston or Norfolk its sooner than you think!!

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Capricorn

Take things slowly and all will be well. However, you must resist a tendency to be perfectionist over things that don't really matter, otherwise you'll never finish the chores. If you're busy with Christmas preparations, you'll have to control a nagging feeling that you've got to compete with the way other people have done things in the past.
