Sam Donnellon | Richards should have used restraint

Apr 21, 2011 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: Philly.com

He should have known better. In a game in which Dan Carcillo was punched in the face by a goalie and pounded to the ice by a defenseman without retaliation, a game in which so many of his teammates took numerous unreciprocated hits to the back trying to tie the game, the captain should have known better than to throw an elbow at Patrick Kaleta ...

You'll see Kaleta, McCormick, Gerbe and even Miller knocking Flyers on their ass on Fri nite.

The reason the Flyers are tied 2-2 is because they have used too much restraint. The Sabres have used the zebras to their advantage long enough. Don't sit in the cozy press box and judge. The Flyers need to come out tonight and physically destroy the dwarf, the giant and the goon. Flyers will win tonight and in Buffalo. One thing positive, the Flyers don't have to live there.

Buffalo has the zebras on their side? on Wed Philly only had 1 more penalty called.
I guess you missed Saturday's game when Buffalo had 6 penalties and spent more than HALF of the 2nd period in the penalty box.
You're just upset that Buffalo is playing tough Flyers style hockey better than you guys. Buffalo is dropping your guys along the boards and delivering open ice checks knocing you on your ass.
Miller is pulling a Ron Hextall by punching Car-bomb in the mug or any guys in the crease or who cross check him. Gerbe fighting back on Timonen after the slash to his balls after the game.
Where has Richards been? 1 assist? You're biggest threat to us is Briere, only cuz former Sabres always do well when they play us - see Marty Biron.
Maybe you need to skate out Dave Schultz, Bob Kelly, Clarke, Primeau and Dave Brown. Cuz Harnell, Pronger, Carcillo or Timonen don't scare us.

Our father who art in Buffalo, Miller be thy name. Thy save be done.
The game be won. On ice, as well as in the stands. Give us this day
our hockey sticks, and forgive us our penalties, as we forgive those
who cross-check against us. And lead us not into elimination, but
deliver us to victory In the name of the fans, Lord Stanley, and in
the name of the Sabres. Amen!!!

How can any of you idiots say that the officials are on buffalo's side. How many penalties were called on the sabres in game 1 and 2. The Sabres spent the whole second period in the box in game 2. Look at the stats on who is getting called and who is not.

That doesn't mean they should get a free pass for the rest of the series...I guess you missed it when Connelly, stop the puck from going into the net with his hand...we both know that's a penalty...that wasn't called, in a game that was 1-0...it might have changed the outcome...but we will never know, because the refs. were not doing their job!!!
