Jokinen used to being at center of trade talk

Full story: South Florida Sun-Sentinel

Can any player possibly dread the NHL trade deadline more than Olli Jokinen ? We're less than two weeks away from this season's March 4 deadline and once again the Finnish forward is not sure whether he'll have ...

Why not bring back Olli to South Florida? The Panthers really need a first-line centerman and he fits the bill. I think when Olli was here before, he had too much pressure on him. As the captain, he felt he had to put the team on his shoulders. But now we know he doesn't have to be in this position anymore. Do not make him the captain and he will be the missing piece to put the Cats deep into the playoffs.

That is quite possibly the funniest comment I have ever heard! Olli is a loser and he is always talked about at trade time because he has no heart and wears out his welcome in every city he goes to. He is the LAST thing the Cats need back to poison this locker room again. Good luck to whoever thinks they can find a pulse in that piece of garbage!

The Panthers are much improved without Jokinen. He isnt an asset to any team.

How about you keep these stupid comments in Quincy. That is just crazy talk to bring him back. Thats like battling cancer, getting rid of it and getting healthy just to find out, oh its back. He was the face of this organization when they didnt need a face they needed a hard working player. And now that he is gone and we have real positive vet. role players that can really teach our young stars how to be NHL winners, you want to mess it up and bring back the obvious problem. Look at his track record.Look at what happens to the teams that he becomes a part of. I was against the Olie trade at first, because i wasnt sure about out O production. But then befor the season started i realized it was a great move. He dosnt fit any where on this team. Tell me where he would fit? You cant because you would mess up the chemistry that this team has found by bringing on dead weight. So in short no we dont want him he can take is slacker attitude and hollow efforts with his Fin hero robe and go play some where else.

I'd rather the Panthers went with what they have now than to bring back Jokinen for the playoff run. I wonder if Keenan up in Calgary wants Jokinen again? It was under Keenan that Joks became a decent player.

While I agree that Jokinen shouldn't come back, I will say we need to bring in someone. We do need a solid scorer. Nobody here can deny it anymore. This team is great. So exciting to watch. But we aren't going to win games if we only score 2 goals in them. We have to be able to explode right out of the gate. Our powerplay needs a huge boost. If the Islanders, Sens, Thrashers and Lightning are going to sell, see what we can get. We have plenty of draft picks and young players. For the first time in years the Panthers are at the deadline looking to get a "rent-a-player". Someone like Bill Guerin would be huge to this lineup. Or a Trent Hunter. Just some thoughts. Dangle Olesz out there. See what we can get. Don't give me any crap about him being young and upcoming for this team. Frolik is that player now. Repik will be that player soon. Mattias as well. As well as Mcardle. Does anyone here think we still need Bryan Allen?

Booth and Horton have as many or more goals than Jokinen this season. We lost one top scorer and two top scorers have jumped in.
