Coach Martin: "I thought we had the game under control. The way we finished the game is encouraging. We were able to protect the lead late and do the job."
Is this guy living in reality? The score was 4-1. After I returned from the bathroom it was 4-3. I don't call that keeping the game under control. This team is just lucky they were playing the Crapitals and not some other team that would have put us away in regulation. I never thought a win could be frustrating, but this was. At least Van Ryn will most likely be out of the line-up for a while. Almost everytime he touches the puck something bad happens. |

The Panthers are great. They are moving in the right direction. They are headed for the playoffs.

"I never thought a win could be frustrating, but this was."
Perfectly stated, but at this point in time, we need all the points we can get. It was great seeing Oli get off the schnied. It's time for Weiss and Horton to start making their $$$$s. |
Horton looks like a complete waste of space on the ice. He honestly looks like he's skating 50%. Where's the hustle, the physical play?
David Booth is seriously stepping it up. He looks to be getting better and better with each game. Good for Vokoun to call the team out even in a win. End of the day, we got 2 points. Let's keep it up!! |

It's 8:20 in the morning and I'm still drinking champagne celebrating the fourth win of November. This must be what it feels like to be Denis Potvin.

Still lacsidazical play in the third period. The problem with this team is they think that every team they play is like them. They think that they will quit when it looks like a win is out of reach. THEY STILL DON'T GET IT. Statements like "we showed people that we can hang on and win these types of games". Well it should never have gotten to that point. Finish off weak teams-and bring yourselves to a higher level on the stronger ones. Wasted breadth! SOS

Vokoun is the man. Big game this friday vs. the Rangers, would be nice to get some revenge from our opening night loss in NY...GO CATS GO
Ok, now they only have to go 37-23-1 to get to 92 points and have a chance at the final playoff spot. Sounds like a sure thing! I'm sure the Panthers will be mailing season ticket holders their bills for playoff tickets any day now.

Horton is going through that time of the month. He's a moody player that needs to be called out. VanRyn being out is a good Omen. I hope he's out long enough so we can put a few wins together. Oh yeah, and Stumpel, heads up! LOL.
I cannot agree with you more. Van Ryn is a waste of time. Keep that bench warm, Mikey. But more than that, this team lacks any kind of spark or enthusiasm. JM needs to lead and inspire these young players - they're mostly kids after all. Furthermore, his philosophy of "dump and chase" just doesn't work in the "new" NHL, at least not with these players. You just cannot hand the puck over in the offensive zone everytime you cross the blue line and expect miracles to happen. Nathan Horton has been a ghost on the ice all season. Why does he even show up? Because he got the big contract in the offseason and he has to. It certainly isn't to play professional-level hockey. What a disappointment. Something needs to change, and it needs to happen now. Not soon, now. I have always maintained this team has the talent to be a contender, but they do not have the motivation. It's time to call out the slackers and let them sit for a few games. What difference would it make? |

OH, boo hoo. We only won by one goal. Damn! You guys have to be some of the biggest whiners in the frellin world.
>"It was great seeing Oli get off the schnied. It's time for Weiss and Horton to start making their $$$$s." Can't stick up for Horton much, but look at Weiss's stats lately - going into last night he had 4 points in the last 5 games. Not so bad really. Also look at his +/-, it's the best on the team. >"Oh yeah, and Stumpel, heads up! LOL." Yah? And who setup the winning goal last night with the long feed out of the defensive zone - STUMPEL! You all need to get a life, you make me sick reading your crap in here. If you hate the Panthers so much, why are you guys even following them? Go back to New York or where ever you are from! |
VOKOUN was right to call the team out in the past, but now he needs to SHUT UP.
He has every right to rip them, until he lets in these soft goals, again and again and again. His sloppy play is putting himself in the same category as the slackers he speaks about. His words don't count for much when the team can simply look at his poor play (although not as much as the others). Did he forget about the ghost shot, when he stepped out of the goal for no reason. |
Who will say this first - THEN DON'T COME IN AND READ |

Stumpy had 2A, but he really does slug along most of the time. It would be so nice to have a real winger to with Olli and Zed.
Stumpy barely has a pulse out there at times. Booth has really picked it up, but he still uses the energy for no reason at times, or the energy doesn't pay off. Timmy is wandering around as if he knows that the puck will be going right back the other way in a few. It's as if he just doesn't like playing with Booth, because he will more than likely not get a good pass from him. Booth just needs to keep going to the crease and leave the passing to the rest. Good job overall. |
Can we play Washington three times a week?
Olli, nice give away for a shorty. It's not as if he was surprise, he was right in front of you. You know the spot, right where you tried to pass the puck, instead of down the boards deeper in the zone. Or maybe Laich had on his invisible uniform.
Luckily you made up for it with the goal that Zed handed you. |

The Panthers have a ZERO percent chance of making the playoffs and I cant wait until the excuses will start and let us know why. This is a pathetic team who can only beat teams that are worse then they are. NOTE TO PANTHER PLAYERS -- Look around the league at players who left here. They are far more in better position to succeed then you are. I wonder when the fire sale will start or how about adding 75 year old players to fill in the holes.
PS
Hey Cohen, if you make the playoffs you might get some extra revenue. on a lighter note, I do love having the entire section to myself. LOL any chance we can just move some of our games to incredible ice? |
I"LL SECOND THAT NOTION. |

Matin:"I thought we had the game under control. The way we finished the game is encouraging"
Is this man insane? They finished the game like they finish every game. Running around like roaches after you turn on a light. It was only the law of averages that kept the Caps from tying the game. |
