Hard fought game. Ok, we're basically even now. Let's see what the next 15 games brings..then you'll know alot more. I know everyone has made a big deal about the prior Novembers..rightfully so. But what would it be worth if they just tanked a month later? Will it happen? I don't know..they do seem to be jelling a bit, so I hope the team will progress.

One thing is for sure, they got lucky as hell to get Vokoun.

Another nail-biter win on the back of Vokoun. Honestly we could have won this game in regulation against a weak Caps team, but again the Cats decided to play for the tie. Whatever. No killer instinct yet. Two points is two points I guess. Weiss is definitely showing consistent marked improvement along with Booth. Unfortunately, our PP sucks again without Murphy. I hope he gets his shoulder bruise issue resolved soon.

This team didnt play for the tie, Kolzig kept it to a tie for as long he could have. They should of scored more than one goal in the first, but Kolzig was outstanding.

I dont care how they won this game because at the end of the day, we are:

.500 for the first time since early October

7-5-1 in November, which guarantees us a winning record in November for the first time since 2000

Knowing how this team plays in the second half of seasons, its very exciting to see this team come together the way they are.

I agree with KSB...we all knew a positive or .500 record in November would be the first hurdle back to the playoffs...

All you joyfull Panther fans, before you get too excited, lets look at who they have beaten.

Blue Jackets- horrible team, Capitals (twice)- horrible team and the Rangers- a very good team, who played their backup goalie because they were playing a horrible Panther team.

"Every time we scored, I gave up the goal, it was p------ me off," Vokoun said.

Vokoun for President!

This guy saves games for us much like Luongo does but is a leader on the ice, calls out players.. Gotta love it!

This game could easily have been out of control in favor of the panthers first period if not for Kolzig. I think we skated a little flat the 2nd and 3rd. I'll take the 2 points and 4th in a row. Let's play a full 60 tonight and take our 5th in a row against the bruins.

Blue Jackets are far from a horrible team this year. They have an 11-9-4 record (and 26 points) and are getting outstanding goaltending from Leclaire and Nash has finally become a complete player with 11 assists and a plus 1 rating to go with his 16 goals. Even Zherdev looks like a different player this year, finally showing some maturity. Ken Hitchcock has turned that team around and they've obviously bought into his system.

As for beating the Rangers' back-up goalie, keep in mind that Valiquette saved 33 out of 35 shots - and in his 2 starts this year he's posted a 1.86 GAA and .942 SV%. He's hardly a pushover.

As for not having beaten "elite" teams, so what. The games they've won are the games they SHOULD win, but in past years have blown. Also note that the Columbus team they beat then came out the next 2 games and beat Detroit and Minnesota.

I'm happy to get the two points. Maybe they still aren't playing with a full 60-minute effort. But they're gaining momentum. And the biggest thing this team has lacked the past few years - besides consistency - is confidence. Hopefully, more confidence will breed more consistency. You have to win the little games before you can win the big games (Carolina). I'm happy to leave November in the dust with a winning record. Just keep going and continue to play hard.

Take it to the bank, the Panthers WLL NOT MAKE THE PLAYOFFS! One thing I have found since moving down here is that it does not take much to give fans for any of the sports hope. Like Dolphin fans getting excited over Ricky Williams coming back. PLEASE! Fans down here never peel the skin of the onion back to see what is really below the surface. The Panthers don't have the talent to make a sincere run. I'm sure you will bash my comments, but I'm confident that my comments will be coroborated by their record come April and May.

Yes, let's look at those teams we beat. Shall we? Blue Jackets - played against Pascal Leclaire, six shutouts, and shut out the Wild the next night (great team). 11-9 in one of the hottest divisions in hockey. Capitals (twice)- Just beat Carolina 5-2. Rangers - I would have rather played against Lundquist that night because Valliquette stood on his head! Oh yeah, not a bad team either.

My point is, slimball, this is the NHL. Any given night, anything can happen. Fortunatley, the NHL doesn't judge on style points, just wins and losses. I don't know if winning five out of six games is an accident. Not saying this team is great, but they're getting it done. That's all that's asked for.

Absolutely correct, welcome to S.Fla...you don't have to wait until April-May, my friend! Watch them losing tonight with square head Martin satisfied with a lousy performance last night . He won't change none of the tired older players on second night game. He'll shine on the pre-game interview...but wait till 10pm...Montador ? Great great pass last night !!!!

Bottom line is we won, move on. If we would have lost then it's a different story. They need to come out tonight and use the energy they didn't use last night. Horton needs to start scoring, otherwise let Olesz play with Booth and Weiss and send Horton to the 4th line.

yeah and when they go 5 an 0 youll say luck.you fans are never satified with what you have.this team is still young.look at who you have in the minors Mathias,Repik,Folik all good players but it takes time to make a team.the panthers went in so many directions before now they are finally playing good hockey .even if they make the playoffs you guys would still say "well they wont make the cup".you guys are never happy they could go 10 an 0 and when they lose oh see told you.be happy that they won 4 in a row.

Great clearing by clear head Montador to give them the equalizer. Give him more ice, Martin..."the kid" will only get better...best educator ! What is the message?--Everything goes, keep playing sloppy, you'll get even more ice instead of the AHL bus.

Great hockey? Compared to who? You obvisouly mean compared to other Panther players. Panther fans need to buy the NHL Center ICE package so they have a point of reference for great players, and what a sold out hockey arena looks like...Silly Panther fans...LOL
