The selfless, cheap and cowardly elbow to the head of Nathan Paetsch was uncalled for and must be diciplined. No matter what may have been said on the ice between the players doesn't even come close to the devistation that has been delivered to Nathan and his family. Nathan has worked, as did every other player, his whole life to finally get to play in the NHL, and to possibly have all his hopes and dreams vanish with one blow is absolutely dispicable. Georges Laraque should be given the harshest possible punishment his sickening behavior!!!

wow, that's a bit harsh. if he's hurt, i feel for the guy. nobody wants to see anyone get hurt in the game. however, if you actually watch the hit, it hardly looks like the sickening behavior that you're describing. if you've ever played any sports, you know that it doesn't take much to be knocked unconscious, and sometimes it's just at the right spot. sure, i agree that it's a penalty, but i can hardly say that it was as much a viscous hit than a fluke injury. hockey is a violent sport where injuries happen from physical play. laraque hardly looked like he wanted to take him out of the game, let alone threaten his career. the penalty was fair. let's leave it at that.
