Terrible offciating tonight; Toews goal should have counted; the Versteeg penalty should not have been called; he locked skates - Huet keeps giving up soft goals thru the 5 hole...

Despite OT loss, funnest game of the year at the UC!

Toews! Dominating play every time on ice. He's 100% determination. Really putting his stamp on the team. The obvious leader.

Versteeg. Love that kid but he was last night's goat. Not for the penalty, but for that beautiful centering pass in the Hawks zone.

Wiznewski. Maybe he's the goat taking that stupid penalty late in 2nd. Barker doesn't need his help.

Huet? A couple of acrobatic saves, great, but continues to give up soft goals and way too many rebounds. Sit him and let Neimi play.

Byfuglien. Biggest disappointment of season, no? What the heck happened to him? He seems lost out there. Can't step on ice without making some obvious error. Time for him to sit a a game or two or three.

O.K. Not worried. Team still played with great heart and dominated play.

Let's Go Hawks!

I was so upset when they overturned Toew's goal. That took the wind right out of the Hawks' sail. A complete momentum changer!

I just don't understand how they could overturn last night's goal, which the video showed was inconclusive, but allow the one in the game against the Wild, which the video proved was not a goal.

I could probably handle this loss better if it wasn't in a string of badly officiated games. I hate blaming the refs but I have to say those idiots in Canada must be watching the replays on a 6" fuzzy monitor. Unbelievable!!!

Sorry for the rant!

GO HAWKS!!!

Well,it's no longer automatic at home anymore...Hawks battled back twice from 2 goals down. At least we get a point. Still have a 7 pt lead for the fourth seed in the West. I'm not going to jump all over Huet but two of those goals were soft to say the least.Officiating? We can talk all day about it but it is what it is..Need to snap out of this starting tomorrow against the Kings.

GO HAWKS!

All goalies give up rebounds, some good and some bad, but why is an opposing player all alone next to Huet? Where was the hawks D to either be on those guys or be pushing him out of the way?

I was at the game and it was electric. I was very surprised that there were as many Penguin fans as there were in the UC last night. I was disappointed with the play of Huet. The first 2 goals were not very good, come on Huet you know better than to give up those rebounds. And then the entire team had a mental breakdown in the last few minutes of the 2nd period.

They came back and tied it only to let it slip back to a 2 goal lead for the Penguins.

I have a big problem with the refs, now more than ever. For 3 games in a row there is a goal off of a tip with a high stick and they all go against the Hawks. First the Wild get it, then the Preds, and the Hawks don't. I was hoping the fans on the lower level would have pelted the refs with the plastic hats.

There were several other penalities that were not called and to call that one against Wiz was a bunch of crap. The Penguins should have been called for roughing not Wiz.

Also what is going on with Buff. Please for the love of God Mr. Tallon please trade him. Get rid of Buff, I am sick of seeing him. Jack Skille played his rear off and he deserves to be here not Buff. Get another center so we can win some of the face offs, we lose too many of them.

Here goes the Huet criticism again. Mike from Harvey understands the game of Hockey. Until you strap the pads on and stand in the crease, you have no clue what it is like, none. Admittedly, Huet has played better games in his career. He has played a hell of a lot worse, I'm sure also. That being said, I echo the question: Where was the defence clearing the puck away? That's the job of teammates around the goalie. Clear the damn thing. Huet does give up the occasional rebound, as do all goalies at all levels. He also gets beat in the 5 hole as do all goalies at all levels. I'll have to say respectfully, I'm getting tired of all the blame being put at the feet of Huet or Khabby or whoever is in the crease. Learn the damn game and you will realize it is a team effort, win or lose. A lot of the commentary shows me that posters have never laced up a a pair of skates, let alone ate the rubber biscuit. I saw a lot of mistakes out there and they were not all by Huet. Yeah, he could have played a stronger game and so should have the whole team. It's hockey. You need some hockey 101 lessons.

I believe it was Tim a small bit back that said we(the Hawks) live & die with Huet.....well mostly I've seen the dying part.....Chico said recently...We better get used to Huet, he'll be around a while...and THAT is my greatest fear in life right now....with the U.S. & world economy a very distant second.

I have to agree that Huet was hung out to dry many times recently Chico....BUT....seems Huet hardly ever has the big save in him to keep a game close or tied. The Hawks defense has EARNED him many easy wins this year so far....so when the defense has a bad game which they certainly do....why can't Huet earn the Hawks a win once in a while. If Huet was the netminder thru the Bulin years I can't imagine how bad this team would have been. I believe Crosby would be a Hawk most likely.

Can someone explain to me why this isn't one of the first stories you see on ChicagoSports.com ? The deaths of Norm Van Lier and Johnny Kerr are obviously a bigger story, but to have to scroll all the way down the page for an exciting game that 2) drew 23,000 Chicagoans, b) featured a hat trick from Toews on helmet night, and c) involves the best team in Chicago right now is SIMPLY INEXCUSABLE.

Throw in the fact that you have a Blackhawks writer that writes every game AP style and the coverage is simply embarrassing. I'll be canceling my subscription to the Tribune this afternoon.

What Ron Washington thinks of Milton Bradley was bigger news than Hawks-Penguins? Really??? Anything those loser Bulls do, too?(I'm talking about regular days of coverage, again, not about NVL/JK who deserve every single drop of coverage they receive.)

Dude Burish ran over 2 seperate Penguin players last night. He made them look like little boys out there. And what type of a stupid commemt is why does he play hockey. Why did your mom decide to have you?? Come on that is a stupid comment. And if the Penguins were that good then why did Hossa leave to go and play for the Wings. And by the way Ovechkin is the BEST player in the league, not Crosby.

Yes both me and Chico17 said that. I don't think that Huet is a horrible goalie, he just fustrates the crap out of me at times. The goals he let in yesterday were not good. The Hawks should have won.

To me what is funny, is as a season ticket holder like BFM, and Section 313, 319, and probably a few others my ticket for last nights game was $ 15.00. The Pittsburg fans that went to the game paid some big $$ to go there and then Crosby was a scratch. It was great for them to see Toews get the Hat trick and show them that we have some really good players too. Havlat undressed the Pens D several times, as did Toews. It was great to see all the plastic hats end up on the ice. Like I said before too bad the fans didn't pelt the refs with them
