I would love to have McCabe back in an Isles uniform, but the deal must be right.

There is no way Fletcher will include that first round pick. That first round pick will be a franchise player. How incredibly stupid does one individual have to be to give up that pick. Yes, Toronto is backed into a wall with Sundin saying no and having 43+ million tied up with that line-up is disgusting.. but Fletcher should just let the new GM buy out players in the off-season. If by any chance Snow does get that first round pick from Toronto, I sware I will do backflips up and down my block. That's a Milbury move at its finest. Just won't happen.

BUT.. maybe Logan Snow would swap picks with Toronto. I could definitly see Toronto doing that as I don't see us winning many more games with all these divisional games coming up, so our chance to finish high isn't there. A swap of first rounders plus Brian McCabe from there side and you have a deal.

Comrie should not be offered anymore than 4 years/16 million. His name should be Comrieov. Takes multiple games off, has one signature move, and has lost some of that speed. Solid second liner, but even still not someone you build around. Take the offer Mike or have a nice life.

If anything, it's good to see Snow ready to pack it in and build for the draft. This team had it's peak and it's simply time to cash in on our soon-to-be UFA's. Satan, god, what garbage. Get what you can.

Why don't we try to trade with Colorado for Ryan Smyth. We can give up Kyle Okposo, our first round draft pick this year and next. Smyth can play the last group of games and then can go back to Colorado.

What a mess. Does anyone realize that other than Okposo, the Islanders have absolutely no one in their farm system who will make an impact in the NHL. And Okposo could be a bust as well. 7 goals in 21 AHL games with only 8 penalty minutes does not predict out very well.

This team is boring, weak scoring and a complete lack of toughness with no help in sight.

They should trade everyone on the team over 30 for kids and draft picks. Keep the kids and let them play and develop. Start building a team the way Torrey did. In four years they were competitive, in 8 they won the Cup. We really haven't even been close for 23 years.

Per HockeyBuzz.com :
- "I am hearing that Alex Tanguay could be dealt to the NY Islanders tonight." - Eklund, 10:13 PM tonight

Amazing rumor, if we don't have to give up much, I'd certainly look into it, Tanguay is a dynamic offensive player

Hopefully, the Islanders can trade Satan and Fedotenko, get solid picks and prospects back, then acquire Tanguay to make up the scoring for this year and the future.

Satan is always in the wrong place, makes bad decisions, and seems really lazy to me. If Snow can get a first rounder for him, must be done, same for Fedotenko, but Ruslan can probably net a prospect and a 5th round pick...so all in all, Satan and Fedotenko for prospect, 1st rounder, and 5th rounder...then acquire Tanguay and call it a successful trade deadline

What the heck are you smoking? We have no kids NHL ready? Do you even following Bridgeport or the Islanders for that matter? We actually have about 5-6 kids on the flight deck ready to get their shot at the NHL. And let me remind you that Blake Comeau came from the AHL-Bridgeport. Aaron Johnson, yea, he's from the AHL-Bridgeport too.

Okposo has played 21 games after leaving college. He's learning still and will very much be a big player for the Islanders. He's a power forward with deking skills to boot. But hey you're the expert now so you must be right when you say he'll be a bust.

Frans Nielsen, Jeff Tambellini, Ben Walter, Drew Fata, Tim Jackman, Kip Brennan, Jeremy Colliton. Yea they're all kids we have in our AHL system but "no where near ready for the NHL!?!?" HAH...that couldn't be further from the truth. The kid movement is coming and coming real soon. Garth and Nolan want to establish a system that will allow the kids to play without having to worry about other teams beating up on them. I've said time and time again the Pens got Laraque to protect Crosby and Co., Blackhawks have guys there to protect Toews and Kane, Parros to protect the Anahiem kids. Why else do we have Simon?(go ahead make your stupid comments about Simon)

Now as for the Tanguay trade....would be interesting to see him in an Isles uniform but it's only a rumor. He's not where he once was when he was in Colorado. And Marriane...trade for Smyth again? Hah that's pure lunacy!

7 goals in 21 games is pretty good for a 19-year old kid who started the season in college. Besides goals, Okposo has over a point per game for bridgeport so far...Last time I checked, point-per-game players made about 7 million a season in New York. You're right, theres no guarantee it'll translate, but he looks like the real deal so far.(btw, since when are penalty minutes an important statistic...esp when you say "only 8 penalty minutes" like he should have more)

If Satan is landing a first rounded, I would hope that Tank could at least fetch a second rounder. They've had pretty much equal production this year and Tank has the cup experience

If the Isles do get Tanguay, Snow better talk with his agent first and get an extension done!!!!!! We do not need another Smyth situation again. He's got one year left @ 5 mil. Add another 3 years and the Isles will have him locked in for a total of 4 years.........

The Isles are going to wonder why no-one will be at these games late in the season. It's because after a season where no-one expected anything, they have given us fun, gritty hockey all year. Yes they have been up and down, but if you asked any Isles fan if we would take the spot we are in now at the start of season we would have said yes. Now.......rumers of selling off Comrie, Satan, Fedotenko. Why should I continue to put any time into something that every time we get something to be proud of.....sell-off come trade deadline. I am just sad, cuase I was having a lot of fun with this team this year and to hear this makes me throw my hands in the air. Just thought we were a goal scorer away from being something special

Satan for a 1st rounder?? C'mon Moose, you're smarter than that. I know you are

3rd rounder at BEST... this is not Satan circa 2001-02... the guy has 14 goals, give me a break.

IF Snow can get rid of Tank and Satan and then get some good value then go for it. What do these guys really produce for us anyway? The Isles don't depend on these two guys to win games every night anyway. Every game is a different hero for our team. Get Tanguay to make up some the scoring mess, but let the kids play out the rest of the season. As we have seen all season long, sometimes it's not about skill but more about will. Go Isles.

Daily Horoscope for December 11

Scorpio

Take it slowly today otherwise you'll be almost guaranteed to lose your temper and make yourself very unpopular in the process. If someone is annoying you, you won't need any encouragement to start a row because you're looking for outlets for your current ire and irritation. OK, but do your best to direct your anger at the person who deserves it and not at innocent bystanders.
