The owner feels bad huh... Try being a hockey fan in this town for the past 40 years! NHL hockey here since the 60's and NO CUP! Minnesota #1 in NHL players per state.. If we are #1 in player development, why havent we won the Stanley Cup by now? We have not taken advantage of the resources we have here. Benedict Arnold ignoring the local players.

Thats because those ****** Canook ****** hate Minnesota for putting so many players in the NHL and taking a place from a Canook. We will never see the Cup in Minnesota and thats a fact Jack!

I saw the Cup in Roseau last year! When Dustin Byfuglien brought it to town. When he won the Cup with the Chicago Blackhawks. I'm sorry Minnesota Wild... that you passed on him in the draft! He was an 8th round pick!

Wild Fans:
Do not let them tell you it's about coaching. Do not let them tell you it's about injuries. Do not let them tell you it has to do with hard work, or system, or "buy-in" or any of the excuses you guppies with your nice jerseys and beads have swallowed for the last 10 years.
The Wild are a league doormat (2 playoff appearances? out of the 1st round ONCE in franchise history). for ONE reason. Lack of talent, and lack of interest in aquiring talent.
In franchise history only two players have ever scored more than 30: Rolston and Gaborik. Gaborik scored 40...once. No one besides those two has ever sniffed 30 and if you look all the way back to the beginning you can count the 20 goal scorers on one hand. Most of them did it ONE time.
The Wild are no closer to adding a retired number banner to the roof (to sit next to the silly #1 retired for the "fans") than they were on day one.
Superstars win in the NHL, and sorry but Mikko Koivu is not now and has never been a superstar. Neither is Backstrom or Burns.
Watch the playoffs and look at who is on the ice. If you've being honest and not believing the hype, you will notice that the teams in the playoffs ALL have at least 3-5 players (some have more) that would immediately be the unquestioned best player on the Wild.
The Wild need to get in the business of aquiring talent, or they will remain what they have been their entire history......doormats with high ticket prices.

Nashville never did anything when Leopold owned them. Now this year they won their first playoff series. Wild will never go anywhere as long as this clown (Leopold) owns them.

He should also be embarrassed about his brother-in-law. Actually, he should be mortified. I suppose he is.
