Good job UAW, keep it up until all your Union Employees loose their jobs. What a bunch of arrogant jerks.

Those poor dumb Union Employees are my friends and neighbors and they deserve a lot better than what you're doing for them even if they don't understand where you're sending them.

While you stand up proud and beat your chest so that they can keep saying they make more than their piers at Toyota, their employeers are going out of business. With them won't just go their jobes, but their beinifits, their pensions and with many their houses.

The best thing you could do for them is help them adjust to a lower income level like the rest of us have already had to do, so they can keep their jobs.

Even though most Union Employees still seem to support you,(out of ignorance), I think you're jerks.

I feel sorry for them because by the time they realize what you did to them it'll be too late, their jobs, houses and pensions will be gone, and so will our auto industry. All so that you could brag about how you forced their employeers to pay them such outrageous compensation packages, that it put their companies out of business.

Union leaders should be thrown in jail.

Congratulations to the UAW and all the so called brotherhood of unions in this country. This is an unfortunate example of the greed that happens when one business enterprise I.E. labor unions are allowed to dictate working conditions and salaries to company's that actually produce something. The municipal and state government employees are next, the only thing that has saved them so far is that the entities involved in this ripoff of the public can raise taxes and fees on all the laid off autoworkers. At least autoworkers have a reason for not paying taxes unlike some political appointees.

Agreed...unions do serve their purpose but when your company is losing money like nothing you all need to sacrifice to keep your jobs. Your cars suck anyways!

Time for GM to learn hardball. File for Chapter 11. The job of the companies management is to protect and promote the interest of the shareholders. The continuing abuse of the sharholders by the UAW can no longer be tolerated. The threat of loosing it all is obviously not real to the UAW. Chapter 13 will certainly change that.

Its time to do away with the Car Unions, bankruptcy for the auto makers, dump the unions, really start to do business.

no other industry carry such a burden from "employees" its just not feasible.

i for one, will look forward to the post-union USA car Industry!

Time for Big O to step in and take the ball away from GM and the UAw.
They didnt fix the wage issue by agreeing to cut any wages, they fixed the average wage by setting up buyouts for older workers so the new workers at low wages outnumber the older workers. But that adds more retirees to the benefits fund which isnt regulated, but there the UAw wont agree to 50% GM stock as directed since even they dont think GM can survive, and they wont take a 50% cut in funds because then they would have to reduce the retirement and medical payouts. In short, the UAw hasnt agreed to anything that would help GM cut costs. time for chapter 11 followed by chapter 7.

Latest info on the UAw slimeballs"
1 we give up two performance bonuses
2 we will not get overtime pay for hours over 8 in a day, but will get overtime pay for hours worked over 40 in a week
3 sub pay for more than 20 years seniority will be 72% for 52 weeks, 50% for the next 52 weeks
4 sub pay for less than 20 seniority is 72% for 39 weeks, 50% for the next 39 weeks
5 there is no reduction in hourly wages.

so they didnt cut wages and didnt get rid of supplemental pay, only the jobs bank. I dont think this will play in Peoria! at least not when GM is asking the bondholders to accept a 70% writeoff in debt.

Daily Horoscope for December 20

Capricorn

You're feeling edgy as Mars moves into reverse, and it won't be long before people start to get on your nerves. You might get very irritated by someone's funny little habits, yet feel you daren't say anything in case you go overboard. Or you could get very annoyed when someone blurts out something that was supposed to be a secret but which quickly becomes common knowledge.
