The league's stingiest defensive team relied on goaltender Henrik Lundqvist and some unlikely goal scorers last night as the Rangers edged the Lightning, 2-1, to remain atop the Atlantic Division.

Were it not for the bogus "extra attacker" power play awarded to a team - for trailing late in a close game - Lundqvist had his shut out. Stupid, stupid rule, pulling the goaltender. They won't change it - "excitement" rules over fairness.

Can you update us on Avery's condition? Moore and/or Baranka headed back to the AHL, yet? We know they prefer Strudwick to Baranka, who really looked good in his debut.

Last time I checked, covering up a puck in the crease is a penalty.
