Let me guess...let me guess.....
it's STILL not DP's fault. |

What a garbage effort by the Isles. Forfeit the rest of the season if that is the way you're going play, against one of the worst teams no less.

DP the solution to the nhl's scoring drought
you guys were so right about him, 8 goals allowed, hey he had 36 saves tho lol |
||||
|
no shallow hal, didnt you see how well dp played the puck!!! stopping goals from being scored isnt as important.
Bottom 5 goalie in league |

Still wondering when Nolan is going to tie DP to his crease? Plain and simple...we are stuck with him for too many seasons to come. There is no defending any player on that team with the effort or lack of that they put forth tonight but giving up 3 goals in 43 seconds is something that is inexcusable. Time to smarten up and get some fresh young meat - out with the old and in with the new!

Whatever the Islanders were competitive this season, and it was a fun season, and now we should get a decent draft pick, etc.
But again, the experts said the Islanders were terrible and again, the Islanders were in contention pretty much the whole season |

Hey Dina, you need to get a life. All you do is post annoying comments about the Isles. Are you having problems with your social life? Are you having woman difficulties? No friends? Sounds like Blueskirt syndome. Go get some help Dina. |

Finally, I'm glad there are other people out here who are starting to see what I've been seeing for the last 3 years. DP is very overrated! I understand how good he is at handling the puck but the rules have changed and it is not that important. Is'nt stopping the puck the most important job for a goaltender? Well, for a first overall pick, DP should be at Roy's or Brodeuer's level. Instead, he can't stop a beachball! The word is out around the NHL! Just shoot high as DP plays half the game on his knees or swimming around on the ice 'cause he does'nt know where the puck is. He makes 1 spectacular save and everyone thinks he's great. Hey DP, how about making the saves that most goalies make instead of looking like swiss cheese! Another Milbury pick gone bust! If he kept Luongo, Isles could've drafted Heatley. And how does Zach Parise look as a Devil? J.P.'s kid is gonna be a 35 40 goal scorer while Milbury's picks can't even put up numbers in the minors. Thanks Mike! I hope DP plays the rest of the year so Isles can lose as many as possible to get more ping pong balls for the draft. Maybe they'll get lucky and pick a franchise player. |

Tonights game was painful to watch as the last three games. The players look slow and DP is over playing his angles. His composure from earlier this year where he was on top of his game is gone. I know the passing of his Grandmother has a huge impact. My thought does he need more time to get centered. The goalie position is not only a physical position but a mental one; just ask anyone who has played hockey.
This year planned to be a hopeful one but injuries have been nothing but trouble for the team. I was expecting Garth Snow to try to get that impact player at the trade deadline. One who scores goals and brings his teammates to the next level. Only thing that happen was disappointment in what little was done. The only positive was the unloading of Chris Simon which should have been done last season. Draft picks were gained which is great for this years talent heavy prospects; but that wont help this season playoff push. Like many Die hard Islander fans; I am tired of saying next year is the year. This years playoffs are like the four stanley cups; in the past. I hope that Garth Snow will be able to find the talent to take the team to the next level. |

He needs to STOP ROAMING! He easily let up 4 garbage goals tonite. What I saw was a goalie who has clearly lost his confidence. He has talent. But he is too streaky and he feels like he has to do it all himself. I wonder what would happen if we had a Hossa like scorer and a few TOP NOTCH D men--would he STILL float around or would that convince him to finally cut it out. Who knows but as much as this is not over officially, it's over. They would pretty much need to go 9-2 at worst the rest of the way. And note to Ted, next time DP gives up a goal like #4, PULL HIM. Teach this kid a lesson! I am sure Dubie would love to get in there. THERE is a guy with heart. Show some heart DP, show some confidence, show SOMETHING. Don't be another Yashin! Money is great but if he doesn't play up to his contract, they will find a way, like Yashin to buy him out. But let's not jump to conclusions yet. He has 11 games left this season. I wanna see him show me something to look forward to next year. And I wanna see him in tip-top shape next yr. Enough with the hip and everything else. You need surgery? Do it and let's get ready for next yr and hope that they can draft well, use the kids and sign some talent. Anything can happen....next year!

everyone is in contention a playoff spot for 60 percent of a season |

thats cool. When you cant say anything worthwhile, or contradict someones comments, why not change a letter in their name to make it feminine. What a joke go back to kindergarten. |

It's very hard to blame the Isles for looking like they were'nt giving an effort when you're goaltender can't stop a helium balloon! This team is very thin on scoring talent but they have worked very hard for most of the year just to stay above water. However, as hard as this team has to work just to score a goal, when you watch your goaltender give up such easy goals night after night, it's very disheartening. It takes the wind out of your sails! It's amazing the Isles have stayed in the hunt this long with their lack of scoring talent. Nolan should get coach of the year for the effort this team has put forth. Finish bad and get a high draft pick. This team needs a franchise player to build around or we're going to be watching the same old crap until a new building is built. |

ANYONE WHO GOES TO A ISLANDERS GAME THE REST OF THE SEASON SHOULD PUT ON PAPER BAGS OVER THERE HEADS HECK WHY NOT JUST PUT A GARBAGE BAG ON THE WHOLE PLACE AND PUT IT ON THE CURB A LONG WITH THE PLAYERS AND LET THE GARBAGE TRUCK TAKE IT ALL AWAY.

All year we have to hear is Rangers overpay, Rangers overated, Rangers suck. Wait im sorry, whats that creative name you Isles fans made up? thats right Strangers. Ouch that hurts. So when the Islanders lose 8-4 in a playoff race to the worst team in the league you dont think your gonna here us Ranger fans let you know how bad you are playing. Whats next you tell us Lundqvist is Swiss cheese when really he is from Sweden. |

What are you doing up this late? Dont you have 5th grade tomorrow? |
||||

Dipietro has not looked good since the allstar break,he is trying to do too much instead of just stopping the puck which should be every goaltender's first priority!!
Players the Islanders should not resign are as follows Satan, aging overpaid ex sniper!! Berard, another has been, career done Fedetenko,overpaid for this guy Hilbert, no offense,doesen't really fit!! Davison, too slow no need for a guy like this!!! Gervais, too fragile!! |
