WOW did Bob Gainey get picked off or what???? Sather did the unthinkable, and dumped one of the worst contracts since Yashin. I applaud Glen Sather who brought in a sick player in Higgins..........I think Komisarek is next..

Montreal fans are furious at this trade. Sather pulled a coup. McDonough is Montreal's best prospect, and Montreal has terrific prospects. And the other kid is a good prospect. Rangers now have a tremendous group of defensive prospects, I wonder which one's will be dangled.

Just another big mistake by Sather-
I watched plenty of Ranger games last season and saw Gomez set up guys 1000 times only to watch the guys NOT FINISH-

They should have dumped Drury.,..he was far more disappointing.

Rangers needed to complement Gomez by getting him a sniper or even just a decent goal scorer-

I hear what you're saying about Drury, but I watched Gomez throw the puck away a billion times. He just never seemed to mesh with anyone, not even Jagr.

How is ridding of $7.3 million of cap space for the next 5 years a mistake ? OH, and they got back Montreal's best D prospect.

Sather just made Higgins a 40 goal scorer. The additional games against the Isles will increase his total. He seems to kill us. Gainey was definetely asleep at the wheel. Higgins is younger, cheaper and not far from Gomez talent wise. The salary dump is the clincher.

No way.

Sather is a genius, just like every year. You watch. Higgins will be setting up and complimenting Brashear. This will surely make the Rangers win the second cup in 69 years!!!!

All hail furer Sather!!!!

Same story every year, get all the big name free agents, paper champs already in July. We want the cup chants comming from the Garden. And what usually happens? Same old story, the team falls apart come playoffs and another year without a cup. Gaborik will get hurt, Higgins will do what the others do, go through the motions after he gets his check from cablevision and Brashear will be picking splinters out of his a s s from all the time he will spend next to Avery in the penalty box.

It only matters that we buy the best and think we are the best. At least I feel good for half the season....and then switch to baseball.....

without getting rid of one of those big salaries the rangers couldn't attempt to get anything...they were lucky to be able to move even one of them!

Daily Horoscope for December 19

Pisces

Are you feeling fraught? It certainly seems that way, perhaps because you've got far too much on your plate and not nearly enough time to tackle it all. Do yourself a big favor and start with whatever is most urgent, otherwise you'll waste time by dithering or getting caught up in trivial tasks. Above all, don't get into a panic because that will squander valuable time and energy.
