And this make sense because of the Chara hit?????
They need to slice the image like an MRI and take the image to determine..
Refs were awful....
But Montreal also allowed 3 bad goals and Price should of had at least two of those goals!!!

And "Pax" was wrong on that play man.

He went overboard and I've noticed he's been fucking up a lot lately...but you're right, had he done that on Cooke I would have been all for it.

But he's got a chip on his shoulder lately for all the penaltys he's been taking of late does "Max".

Call him "Pax" or call him "Max" he's playing, and the rest of the team is playing like "Tampax".

I agree that the whistle probably should have been blown,but in fact the whistle was not blown,so my question is why did the hab players stop playing when the whistle had not been blown ? You DO NOT stop playing until you hear that whistle. Basic hockey sense !Pax hit,I think is going to get a suspension.. To me it looked like he ment to hit exactly where he hit him.wasnt neseccary.could have made a more clean and effective hit.Habs cant afford to lose a player of his skill for two or three games.Just my opinion though.

Here a question for you guys..
Why not cut across like Max did and give and old School hip check...rather than the shoulder.

Because 75% of shoulder checks now pretty much end up hitting the apponent in the head.

And a hip check would send the apponent into the rafters and back tumbling to the ice. The result.. no penalty and the opponet has been aliminated.
I have to watch again to get a better idea of max's situation

as letang followed through...thats when max made shoulder and the follow through his head its Max back....
It doesnt look that bad.
There was no way he didnt see him before the hit...he tried to get the shot away.
Now if it was an elbow to the end....Case closed. GUILTY...
And he apologized..
As a player..you have to expect to get hit.. The only way its not going to be a head shot, is if the other guy hits you on the arm/shoulder of either side of your body.
If you hit a guy open ice in the chest and your a little bigger than him....than now matter how clean it is...it will be a head shot every time.
And i had to watch the game again...even the Price let in what I thought was two so/so goals....Overall he played a pretty damn good game...dont get me wrong!!

It will be interesting to see what shanahan will do!!

If you think there's no suspension coming, then you haven't been paying attention to the modern NHL. ANY blow to the head is going to cost games. And there's no way to argue that hitting Letang's head was the only way to check him. He could have skated directly AT him, then lowered his shoulder into Letang's body and leveled him, and no one could have complained about the hit.

Agreed, the refs WERE awful. They need to get over their fear of angering "The Master of Savate" Subban and call some of his bullshit on him.

If he skated right at him and hit him in the chest his head would of went forward right into his shoulder....result head shot.
There is almost know way around it.
Max was upset and did apologize so that was good.

Overall it was good to see Letang come back and play.
It would also be nice that shanahan deals with it and then its over....not like Chara...But Chara's reaction was alot different then Max's and you could see how people would be pissed at that do to the lack of league discipline

But 100%, after seeing it on the replay and knowing the rest of the facts surrounding that hit it does not appear that "M-Pax" was doing anything other than exploiting the guy at one of his weaker moments...

Still Labatts I did NOT like it, it appeared to be a massive lack of respect for a fellow player in a vulnerable position, all be it in open ice, and it also appeared to be "M-Pax" acting out on a temper tantrum...for all the penalties he's taken of late and for not scoring, I think he's playing pissed and with a chip on his shoulder for the way the rest of the team is playing and for the totoally suspect and "Pussy" calls against the Habs of late...of which there have been many.

Probably the best thing to do in that situation and your right above,,,,but to just go after the puck and bump him...I didnt know about the other about Max's and his issues.

This team needs to make a tweak or two..and I know we have said this before, but if the season stays the way it is now they wont make the playoffs...and saidly if they did, it would take another miracle to go any where in the playoffs.
Even if Jesus Price was in net ....it would still be a tough one.
Montreal needs a complete pshyco maniac tough guy to police the ice..A cross between John Kordic/Ron Hextall/george laroque...and a few others that I will leave out...

I really do not blame him, he is in fact overall a fine goalie, but he could be much better I think and so could the rest of the team, no, I blame what appears t be a lack of credible mgmt and especially coaching.

No one it seems in the Habs camp will even admit that Martin himself is a problem.

I really believe he has NO CLUE what he is doing and lacks any solid coaching ability.

If he has any at all I need to hear about them from this teams GM right now cause what I am seeing on the ice is a product of BAD COACHING plain and simple.

If the league is going to call them,,,,they need to be fair and thats what pisses me off..Sid I think he is a great player...but one of the worst habits he picked up from Mario Lemieux was the crying and whinning to refs. His 3 cross checks to foligno and then the hard elbow to the face was a 2 game suspension and he got NOTHING!!!

And then kunitz comes in and drills foligno for sticky up for himself...Kunitz should of got third man in and kicked out...
Crosby is dirty and he is a major pussy!!! I use to have respect for him..but the more I watch him play and the whinning he does about heat shots and dirty plays...he needs to look in the mirror.

The way i see it , Letang is was skating with his head down and got caught , yes it was a head blow , but max didn't really have the time to avoid him .1 game and a fine at most . Just my opinion

love what you said about Crosby & the Pens, I agree. Been sayin' it for a while, he's still a great player, but I look at him a bit differently than most, and some of their other guys like the Bruins have been treated most suspiciously by the league in lieu of suspensions and fines for infractions
