TMLSE deserves all they get back from Sundin. They have been jerking him around for years - and now they are getting a taste of their own medicine?? Guys like Sundin are in the drivers' seat, since they have already pocketed more $$ than most people could ever think about. He can live like a King back in Sweden (or wherever he wants), all at the expense of the NHL and hockey fans - thanks to the high handed tactics of TMLSE - If in fact they ever really wanted Sundin to return. Sort of like being 'constructively dismissed' from your job (and passive aggression on the part of Sundin). The whole hockey industry has gone from one poverty stricken extreme to the excesses of players contracts and their legal and financial advisors. For me, this has changed my love of the game. There have been a long list of great Leaf players who have been treated with the same class-less tact near the end of their careers. To now see a guy like Schenn go and have to fight much older players in order to win a spot with the Leafs, makes me ill.

Let's just move on... He (Sundin) had his chance to help "the Team" last year if he allowed a trade, but he didn't. That's how I'll remember him. He can reflect on his achievements and records while we move on and get serious about trying to win a Cup.

Eventually the Leafs and all their fans will welcome him back for a final farewell tour, hold a parade down Yonge Street for him at the end of the season and erect a bronze statue in his honour near ACC so generations that follow will all know how great he was even though he never won a Stanley Cup. Yep, that sounds about right.

Daily Horoscope for January 8

Scorpio

Self-worship is easy and obvious, today. The real prize is when you turn from the mirror to see that others think just as highly of you. Take in all this love and amazement, and store some away for lean times in the future. Someone may give you an unexpected compliment later in the day, but don't let them know that it caught you off guard. After all, you still have your reputation as an egomaniac to uphold!
