I've also noticed that even the horribly biased New York medias has nothing negative to say about Malkin. That shows just how good he is. This is not to take away from Crosby, who is probably the smartest most skilled overall hockey player, but Malkin is clearly a gamer himself. Let's go Pens, I'll be watchin ya on the big screen outside on Thursday.

Malkin is going to be a star. The pens better sign this guy long term but will that be possible if they sign hossa this summer. Even if they win a cup with Hossa, you have to wonder if it was worth keeping 2 quality players in Armstrong and Christensen as well as a prospect in Esposito. Those are 3 contracts that will equal hossa's so I have to wonder about that trade. The mvp has got to go to Ovechkin he lead his team on his back but Malkin will lead the league in pts soon enough, maybe even next season. I think Malkin gets 50 goals next season as well. This guy is going to be a star. I think when its all set and done Crosby will have the most pts, just because he is the best passer and rakes up pts like that an is just so young I feel he will increase his scoring. Malkin will continue to improve and a lot of his work doesnt show up on the stats like his defense. Ovechkin is a pure goal scorer but the guy also hits and you have to wonder how long he will go without getting hurt with the physical play he endures, how long his body will go. Hes a real exciting player and great for the nhl so I hope its a while. Crosby, Malkin, and Ovechkin are only 20,21,22 respectively which is amazing. I think when its all set and done it goes like this...Crosby, Malkin, Ovechkin in points.

Well Derek, apparently you weren't reading this paper last week when THIS SAME REPORTER wrote the following: "At even strength, the Penguins don't have the consistency top to bottom the Rangers have. Malkin is a force too, but when Crosby isn't taking the heat off him, Malkin has wilted at times." How's that crow tasting Mr. Staple? Would you please ask Zip and Rieber to pass the salt? |

And more from Staple earlier today..
"If the Rangers rally, Therrien might actually have to do something new for him this series: Shut his yap and coach his team." How'd he do last night Staple? I thought he was fairly clever calling the TO when the Rangers tied the score, or maybe someone else called it. It's about time Therrien started coaching......this Pen's team has now won 7 in a row in the postseason...all while Therrien has obviously mailing it in, and flapping his yap. Eh, but what the hell do I know about coaching a hockey team. How 'bout you Staple??? How many games have you coached? |
