Steve couldn't the Rangers simply ship Dallas a 4th or 5th round draft pick for Avery with the Stars agreement to pick up half of Avery's salary? Is that not allowed by the CBA? It certainly would be a method to gaurantee no other team can lay their hands on Avery.
