Wait...if Parrish makes it back to the Wild, do we have to Pay him double or would he simply resume his contract?? I do not want to be paying twice, even if he is a home towner.

There's plenty of great homegrown talent the Wild could pursue. If it was 2001 I'd say great idea. Problem is it's 2009.

Parrish deserves another shot with his hometown team after he was treated so poorly by Lemaire and Risebrough. That said, it is doubtful he can return to being that 20-30 goal/season player he was.

1 Here we have life-long Minnesotans talking up a team from Pittsburgh PA, meanwhile our hometown team is now into their second month on the golf course. How pathetic is that that people from the so called State of Hockey are so eager/starved to cheer for a team from Pennsylvania. I guess that will tell you how pathetic the professional hockey product has been in this towm for years. All fluff, no stuff. ....embarrassing |

|
May as well use him since we're paying him through 2014.

He scored 8 goals. That would put him in this large group of players we have that score from 8-13 goals and 30 points a season. Only I don't think that's what the new managment are looking for. They recognize the teams that win score goals and have young players that score goals.

play him - what do we have to loose? that 8 goals and his plus minus is still better than 1/2 of last years team....

1 Parrish is a capable hockey player. He can score goals when they count the most and it appears Lemaire really hindered his ability to shine. I don't understand either how a player goes from team captain and 20-30 scorer to buy-out without some friction with the boss, and if you had problems with Lemaire you had problems with Doug... He is worth a chance at redemption. We have little room to beg and choose reliable forwards. |

Sad. People like him/her are ignorant of how they remove any credibility from what they say or believe. Just because people aren't whining about the Wild's lack of success and instead choose to watch a little more hockey, they aren't hockey lovers and are hypocrites? hahaha... As a born & raised Minnesotan livng in Dallas, I'm pulling for the Penguins. I guess that makes my love for the North Stars/Stars and Wild a joke. Where do they find these people? |
||||
|
Maybe I should find a golf course and give up the chance to watch some great hockey? That would give me validity as a hockey lover if you listen to the sux guy.
I don't know about Parrish. As someone who is around the team here in Dallas a lot and an outsourced service provider for them, I've seen a lot of Parrish and he just seems to have lost most of everything he either once had or needs in order to be a dependable and productive member of a team. Nice guy though, we spoke of his cousin and his love of playing in front of the home crowd. |
||||
I think what the guy is trying to say is that it's too bad people in Minneosta have to root for teams from Pittsburgh. Would be a lot nicer if the pro hockey team here in Minnesota made an effort so that the State of Hockey still has a team to root for during the playoffs.... |

I like Parrish, he may not be the player he once was but I never saw him coast and he'll give it his all.
Has anybody looked at the 2008-2009 roster? Not one Minnesotan. You mean to tell me that the State of Hockey can't figure out how to put some hometown kids on the roster. This team has one star, purpetually hurt and a bad atitude to boot. Its time for the Wild management and ownership to put a winning product on the ice with at least a couple of homers. The shine is coming off this apple. With the new stadium for the Twins opening next year, there will be competition for the sports dollar. Businesses are not spending money and the private sector has fewer disposible dollars. The Wild need to put out a decent product or at least a reason for us to cheer and spend our hard earned money. |

the reason they were happy the pens won is cuz the wings lost |

I don't care where the players were born. All I want is the best players available.
