The Wild will never win a championship with any combination of Lemaire and Risebrough!

Probably true, Jack, but there's plenty waiting to buy the tickets.

Jack and Mark are both right. The Wild is not out to win any championship. They are out to sell tickets and food and beer and nifty jerseys and caps and baby bibs and jackets and foam paws and... Go team of 18,000! What a crock.

I just want to say thanks to Mark Parrish for being such a class act. He has made watching the Wild much more fun. Good luck to you.

Hey Mark, there's something else missing with the other NHL teams. A contract! Mark, you're damaged goods and your play in front of the net was terrible last year. You were frequently knocked over and had poor balance. 29 teams had a chance to claim you when you went to waivers and no one picked you up. I wish you the best of luck, but please take some of the blame for not being able to stay with the Wild.

Good luck Parry. I always enjoyed watching you play and look forward to keeping tabs at your next team. I wish we could have bought out Lemaire and Risebrough instead, or Johnsson, Skoula, etc.

You sir are an idiot. Why don't you go stand in front of the net and get cross checked in the back by an NHL defenseman and see how many times you get knocked down. Figure it out before you bash. If you ever played hockey you would know that standing in front of the net is one of the most thankless jobs in the game. It takes a set of stones to do that day in and day out at the NHL level. I suppose you will come back with some type of comment about how you are not a NHL player and Mark is and that is his job. You would be right. Until you step on the ice in a NHL game and see what it is really like, your comments mean nothing. Beat it.

I realize it's a tough job, but that's what he was signed. Last season, he didn't do his job. Therefore, he gets cut. There are TONS of players that take chops in the back yet are able to maintain their balance and positioning. That's what separates those players from Parrish. Tomas Holmstrom, Ryan Malone, Johan Franzen, Ryan Smyth are just a few examples of players that have similar qualities to Parrish yet can stay on their skates.
Parrish wasn't doing his job so he got cut. Take a break from the homer rhetoric and realize this. Or, if you still think he's the player he once was, make a bet with me. I say he won't even get 10 goals next season and will miss 20+ games.

Artie,
The players you mentioned: 2008
Holmstrom= 20G 20A = 40 pts
Malone= 27G 24A =51 pts
Franzen= 27G 11A=38 pts
Smyth= 14G 23A =37 pts
Parrish= 16G 14A= 30 pts

All those players are good. But Parrish only being 9 goals behind Malone and Franzen and 10 assists behind Malone in 82 games doesn't seem all that bad.(how many of those guys were in the all-star game last year? right) Not to mention that the wild play JL style of hockey "DEFENSE" The wild scored 220 goals last year compared to 252 detroit, 240 Pit, and 224 Colorado. There are 29 other teams someone will want 16G and 14A. He is a mucker and always will be.

What are you trying to prove TDAJ? Homlstrom only played in 59 games last year and Smyth played in 55. The other guys played around the same amount of games as Parrish. All of their stats are better. Trust me, I saw Parrish get his arse kicked every game he was in. He is not the same player, therefore he was cut. I don't know why this is so hard to see. Todd Fedoruk took Parrish's spot last year and did pretty well. Parrish had a chance and never took advantage.

Hey, if it's true, nobody can argue it. I don't think the Wild needed both Brunno and Parrish. Looks like Brunno brought a bit more to the table (ice).

The person saying anything derogatory about Bettman conversations is Doug Bergeron. Bettman met Bergeron in December with conversation. It just so happens that Doug Bergeron the CEO and former Chairman of Verifone is being sued by many investors for securities fraud whilst at Verifone.

Mark was a good addition to the Wild, he's too good a scorer not to hook on somewhere, hopefully outside the division. Thanks for putting out a good effort in St. Paul!
