I usually don't say anything bad about ted nolan, but come on you put two of the slowest guys out in overtime. They just skated around Tank and Satan. Also those two guys had terrible games. Why have them out there in a key situation? YOU NEED SPEED IN 4 ON 4 SITUATIONS.

GO ISLANDERS!

Ricky D. could not overcome the Avalanche, even with his cheating pads. The puck whizzed past our hero in OT and we once again suffered the indignity of defeat. Islanders languish in the basement of the NHL, with no hope. So... let's celebrate! Another Al Arbour night coming soon...

Does Ted Nolan have to tell us Rick kept us in the game after EVERY game? He's done it for most of the year, we get it now.

What are you talking about? Before these last two games the Isles only had 1 OT loss (and one in the shootout). They have 5 post regulation wins. That hardly suggests that the Isles always get scored on between the 2-3 minute mark. I don't know/remember what time the goal game in the 3rd OT loss but 3 times in 9 games hardly qualifies as "always". Statistically speaking, it might be ahead of the expected ratio but the N is not large enough for that to be significant.

Recheck your chi-square calculations, dude. The N does comprise a sufficient sample size to be statistically significant.

My son and I attended Thursday night's game. He is three and his name is "Little Johnny". Little Johnny turned to me mid game and inquired, "Why does Ricky D wear illegal pads - isn't that wrong, daddy?". What could I say. What could any of us say to Little Johnny.

Then Little Johnny asked you. "Daddy. why do you touch men?" And you answered. "Cause I'm a fruitcake!"

Rick DiPietro was back at the top of his game after a shaky outing Thursday Night on Long Island. He faced 15 shots and save each one. Many of these shots were quality opportunities, and he made stellar saves. The offense, and particularly the power play that had produce 5 goals in 13 chances against Carolina and Florida over the past two games, was held in check. The Islanders get one point again, like on Thursday and move on in this difficult West Coast Trip.

The Islanders are not going to get many more points on this trip if they don't wake-up. They were lucky to get a point last night.

This was one Ricky stole for them. What a difference in play from the Florida game.

Its been over the last several seasons...take it a step further it also seems in the past a goal is allowed within the first several minutes of 1st period or also once we score a goal within the next minute the other team will score...i hope your not defending this weak netminder...his wandering antics and soft goals have cost us some games...thats why he is known as Ricky Red Light
