This move does nothing but shake up the team. None of these players are impact players. LeNeveu was because the Rangers goaltending coach (who's name escapes me right now) wanted him while Maloney wanted Montoya.
Backman was a panic pickup because Mara got hurt. And he's injury prone. If he stays healthy he's a 3rd or 4th liner at best. So this isn't a bad or good trade, it's...aaahhh, menza-menza. |
