So you're "sick of hockey," but you can't help hanging out on a hockey forum. You must be one lonely little basement-dwelling perv.

Well, maybe hockey can't compete with the sheer adrenaline and fast-paced action of golf, but it was a good series and Game 7 was something else. Congrats to the Pens. Seeing Mario raise the Cup was cool.

Wow, still here. There must be a glue-huffing forum or some other place where you can find people with common interests.

I am so happy we finally did it! I couldn't stop cheering when I finally heard Mike Lange say Lord Stanley, scratch their names on your fabled cup - the Pittsburgh Penguins are Stanley Cup Champions 2009 (http://www.entertonement.com/clips/ywxbhhghtb... ) Nothing could have made me happier than seeing that team holdup the Stanley Cup like that!

It is hard to beat a team when the refs have problems with remedial math skills, like counting to six (6) players, or 5 + 1 = 6. Then when the sixth (6th) player skates off the ice look the other way and pretend he had on a cloaking device and you did not see him.

It is also hard to beat a team when the 'NHL Idol' has Buttman on speed dial.

I smell a sore loser. Were you still crying when you typed this or are you just normally a b!tch? I’m guessing the latter as are most hockey fans in Detroit. Did you keep a running count of all the no calls on both sides? Had you, you would not be so bent of 1 missed call, baby.

You guys just embarrass yourselves with shit like this. If the NHL wanted to hand the Cup to the Pens, the easiest way to do this was to call the penalties the Wings actually committed, right? Why would they have ignored the Hossa slash in game 2? Or Franzen or Zetterberg, or whichever interchangable orange-bearded orangutan it was, covering the puck in the crease? Think before you post next time, loser.

I can not recall when a deliberate stick swinging incident towards the head of a player did not result in any type of disciplinary action. Malkin on Zetterburg.

hmmm,
you sound like a whiny little b!tch...man up dude, your team lost 4 out of the last 5 games in the stanley cup...that is not a failure on the zebras to call a high stick..that is a total team failure. win as a team, lose as a team. From the pens side I call it almost total domination...total domination would have been the pens coming back down 2-0 and sweeping the next 4 games...give the wings credit they rallied for one game and avoided a total meltdown. enough said.

Yep. Winning a seven-game series establishes without a doubt the superiority of a team. When the Pens lost in six last year, no one was happy, but nobody begrudged the Wings their victory or their bragging rights. It took lots of lucky bounces and non-calls for the Wings to win the first two games this time, and a few went the Pens way in their wins. Anyone who watches the game knows that these things tend to even out over time, and this series was a perfect illustration of that.

the wings just didn't have an answer for our younger faster harder hitting team. they tried to play their tic tac toe puck possession game and it worked in the first two games, as you say with a few lucky bounces thrown in, but in the end our guys were tougher and stronger on the puck and we won. THAT is what's so hard for the wings fans to come to grips with. the better team won.

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Capricorn

Take things slowly and all will be well. However, you must resist a tendency to be perfectionist over things that don't really matter, otherwise you'll never finish the chores. If you're busy with Christmas preparations, you'll have to control a nagging feeling that you've got to compete with the way other people have done things in the past.
