Good for Vancouver, Isbister is good utilitie forward that has a bit of a scoring touch and Curtis Sanford is really not that bad of a goalie.
Would consider it a step up from Sabourin (although he wasn't half bad either). Ritchie is a bit of a slugger, but with Jeff Cowan scoring goals and not throwing puches, I sup pose it's warrented. |

true they eitehr have money tied up in salary like the Sens or there waiting until later but for whom?? Souray?? Shanahan?? |

Its surprising that no one has picked up Souray yet.... He would be a great addition to any team... |

true there must many teams after him, im thinking hes holding out for a certain team and hes just waiting for them to free up some cap space
|

Aaron Miller was signed yesterday , that is also a decent pickup for vancouver.
That makes their d-line on of the top 5 in the NHL. Whoever buddy is that claims they have done nothing , really has little knowledge of hockey alltogether. Plus, they were eliminated by the Stanley Cup champs...what , pray tell CAN they do (Markus has a no trade clause for another year and the sisters finished 1-2 in scoring and they only have 2 million in cap space, primarily because Smolinsky headed for Montreal)?? |

i dont see any real big changes this year for the canucks it seems there relying on the same players as last year to make something happen the only player that seems worthy of recognition would be Ryan Shannon he lloks like hell be a solid 2 way player but other than that they just replaced players with the same players you know what imean they will have to rely on luongo if they are to make any noise ...again!! |
|||
I think the key thought in your rant is the fact that they were eliminated... |

He could be pulling a D. Briere and just saying no to evrything that is not unreasonable. I cant believe that Briere and Drury went elsewere, Buffalo was one of the best and most exciting teams we have seen in a long time and there to best players leave for more money, obviously winning doesnt matter anymore. Make know mistake boys Philly will still be one of the worst teams in the league this year. Hve losing while spending all of your money. |
||||
What doesnt make sense about that post? Since your from Moose Jaw I will accept your insult as a dumb hick trying to sound intelligent, nice try though!! |

not just the money if Buffalo was really determined in keeping them they would of had a contract done up before all of this was even rumored top happen dont blame it all on the players the organization i Buffalo also has a foot in this they should of signed them long ago its there fault really they could of made the moves necessary to keep them but they had a solid team going into the playoffs thinking that no change was needed thery gambled and lost tough luck to them |

"I think the key thought in your rant is the fact that they were eliminated..."
NO , the key thought to my "rant" is that they have one of the best D-corps in the league...dipshit....you must be a Toronto fan. ..someone else said they were just "replacing players" ....who did they replace ont the D-line??? They simply neglected to retain Brent Sopel because of the great d-men they already posses. By re-signeing Bieksa, aquiring Miller they have one of the most dynamic "top six" defense in the league. Salo, Ohlund, Mitchell, Bieksa, Miller with the exeption of Krajckek...(Edler could be good in the futur)...now all they need is a bit more punch up-front , and I think we could see a better season. |

im not sure if the canucks had cash to spend but im pretty sure they will by trade deadline or by free agent day next year i know that Dany Heatly is already toping that list for next year and the sens have NO cash at ll they gave themselves some cap space by trading away schaeffer but that aint much, the Ducks repeating?? hmmm maybe you never know the play-offs always have teams rise up there are playoff teams and regular season team like the Pens are not a playoff team but own during the season the Leafs i feel are a playoff team and for the west look out for chicago this year i feel they can make some noise with there team. |
|||

Ya but look how many players the canucks are signing... insted of sighning a couple of good ones they are sighning a lot more players who arent as good.

that can be a good thing that means players will perform better and harder at camp to the roster, but yea it may back fire if there all the same |

i hear ya dude, im jus trying to put myself in his shoes to see what hes doing, i said it could backfire especailly if there relying on Luongo, i like Biesksa (sorry for spelling) hes developing nicely as a solid d-man. The Canucks success will mostly be about special teams this season pp and pk if they fail at those there done. |
