Honestly. I hate to say it. I really do. But id give zherdev another chance. He'd be playing a different style now then when he was here before. One he could actually flourish in. It might work out great. Because he is another juice. But nikki actually shoots the puck. And he will actually crash the net too.(Anyone remember his goal where he got tripped up was completely level with the ice, and still put the puck ib the net?) But I think Nikki being on the 2nd would look/feel better with vermy at center and brass on the wing. Just my opinion. But say screw it. Go after Nikki. Who knows might make the top 2 lines be very dangerous.

I'd like Vinny or even Stillman if we could get them cheap enough.
Williams fit in great here, and was a clutch performer for us, but that was a few years ago. I wouldn't be adverse to signing him again. He did good for us on the PP before, and if was productive enough to be in the top 6 he'd be great on the third line. Imagine that, someone who can score occasionally on our third line!
As for Z, he'd be a gamble worth taking only if he was really cheap. He was fairly productive when he was here, and I though it was a mistake to let him go, especially with what we got in return.

Out of that list the only one I could see working would be vinny. If you grab nikki though your getting a young guy who IS a top 6 forward. He's the exact same thing as juice. Only Nikki actually shoots the puck. Id take that gamble any day because he is a proven scorer.

There is no chance, and I mean, not even a "one in a million Dumb and Dumber chance", that Zherdev finds himself on the team.

Cant believe people dont want Samsonov. He would be a good fit. 40 points last year a actually one of the few guys that could play with Nash and Carter if needed. I say go after Samsonov at a good price and bring him in.
Those talking about Z, zero chance. He was my favorite player, but it aint happening. The ship has sailed and the bridges burnt

I believe we should try with our own.... Move Calvert up and maybe bring in Cam Atkinson. Been watching Cam for a while and I think the kid could make the jump with no problem...

Nikolai Zherdev will play for the Blue Jackets just as soon as they hire Doug MacLean to be GM.

Prospal is coming off a knee injury and is very questionable, especially at his age.
Stillman is 37 I'd stay clear of both. Calvert impressed me last year. Give him a shot. There are teams near the top of the cap that produce surprise cuts or trades every year.

Unless an incredible player falls into our lap that we cant pass up, just let the kids play. Players like Johansen and Atkinson usually come out of the gate blazing and then hit a wall around the time Juice will be coming back. We dont have to count on one particular guy. We have enough kids that we just need one of them to click to make it work.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Pisces

Having to bow down to convention or limitations is enough to make you want to scream right now, and you'll do your utmost to rebel in any way you can. Be careful about this because you could easily get on the wrong side of someone who has power or authority over you. It feels as though you're battling with forces that want to keep you under control, and you don't like it one bit.
