Cote's fighting season is over

Riley Cote has been KO'd for the season. Ten days after dislocating his right ring finger in a fight with New York Islanders rookie Joel Rechlicz, Cote underwent surgery on Tuesday that will sideline for 10-12 weeks.

Cote has become obsolete on the Flyers now. He's lost a lot of his fights this season, and with Carcillo now in the mix, Cote really doesn't have a role on this team any longer.

he was a middleweight fighting heavyweights. It wasnt carcillo who took his place it was asham. There gona get a real heavy weight next year.

Philly seems to have a routine where a guy goes down and is never heard from again, i.e., Rathje and Hatcher are two that come to mind. Cote did lose a few this year and is usually gone anyway deep into the playoffs. Let's see, Philly usually deals with Columbus or Phoenix, so Riley, thanks for some good hockeyfight.com highlights.

Carcillo is a dud and will never replace your grit, dude.
