Lunqvuist was stellar, but lets be honest it was the ranger$ defense and caps nervousness ALL game long. They did not play there game. The ranger$ blocked a ton of shots the entire game and lundqvuist did not have to stop all that many shots. The caps goalie faced even less as the ranger$ did nothing on offense. Caps look inexpereinced and they are still a young team. Nice job ranger$ but they arent beating the bruins, pens, canes, devils in a playoff series lets be honest here folkes.

The shots he stopped were quality shots guy. The Rangers are still playing like a desperate team. Rangers D shut down the best player in the league(2 games). Who the hell cares if the defense blocked shots. Im not gonna worry about the other teams. Rangers have a long way to go. The rangers did enough on offense and that good enough.

Yes, let's be honest here, yours is a typical Isle fan reaction, none of you gave them a chance at the Caps at the start of the series either. Rangers still need to win 2 more. Let's take it one series at time, shall we?

I am laughing so hard at the Islander trolls right now. Kinda feel bad for them. Everytime they predict a first round shellacking, the rangers come out strong.

Oh yeah, and games like today is why id rather be in the playoffs then hope for ping pong balls

lets be honest here , werent the predictions by islander fans (who shouldnt predict anything regarding playoffs because most have never seen their team win in the playoffs), that the rangers would get swept.

You guys looooove changing your predictions on the fly

35 saves isnt that impressive I guess. Henrik stood on his head and Washington had tons of chances. Caps arent that young either. Semin and Ovech are really the only young players. They have alot of veterans on their team. I think the Rangers could beat any team they faced, all there games have been close sinc Tortorella got here. There biggest problem this year was forechecking and they had it today. The Rangers could put a good fight against anybody.

Schultz was out of the lineup cause he's still looking for his jockstrap after that SICK move by Dubinsky on that GWG in Game 1. Signature moment in these playoffs so far.

Dude, Isles fans opinions are officially worthless at this time of year. Keep buying lottery tickets while the Ranger$(as you call them) are winning playoff game$.

Extra special that Milbury got to see this up close and personal as part of the NBC crew. He's praising the Rangers through clenched teeth but you KNOW its killing him. That my friends is called icing on the cake.

but hey, Bill Guerin is doing well once he got moved back into the big leagues from the ahl.

In all seriousness, what type of record would the Isles have in the AHL. I dont think theyd win, but probably over .500

No but DiPietro tore his ACL when he whiffed trying to get out of the sand trap.

Maybe Lundqvist can help him out now?

After all, neither of them won one round in the playoffs this year......
