"Keep hopes alive" - Are you kidding?? They are done !! Let's be honest, this teams' defensemen and 3/4 of the forwards refuse to "pay the price" to get the job done , that's what has cost them in the plyoffs plain and simple !!

Their hopes are on life support and another loss or two should make them dead in the water. Nobody to blame but themselves for the inconsistant play and upper management for doing nothing to help them.

Miller still sucks and lets in soft goals, until that as well as the defense is upgraded we will be stuck with mediocrity for years to come. But I will still buy my season tix like I have for the last 27 years. Because I am a fan of the game, regardless of how bad the goaltending and defense is and will be when miller gets signed for an outrageous amount of money that he doesnt deserve.

miller sucks? you've lost your mind old man... 99% of the time he's the only reason we win games. it's the rest of the team that needs to get their heads out of their.....well, you get the idea. i can't believe people are that ignorant. if you're gonna give reasons for why we suck this year...start with the relentless 'injuries' and loss of players. and then look at the rest of the guys inconsistency. miller is the farthest from being the 'problem'.

p.s. if you all were really Sabres fans, there would be no loss of hope.... they'd have your support regardless.....

Season tix holder for 27 years, I think is support. Go look at millers numbers and then try and tell me he is the reason we won most of our games. 20th in save % and 21st in GA. That means that their are 19 and 20 goalies ahead of him that have better numbers their are only 30 teams. We have scored more goals this year than last year the only change is the increasing number of goals he lets in every year. Get your facts straight before you try and make a point youngster !!!

Up and down....so whats for tonite? Will they continue to respond and play Montreal? or be whipped at home as the last time the Canadiens came in...?? They will sign Miller to a long term...They have NO ONE in the wings.. Adam Dennis? I don't think so... This man has shown that when he has a capable defense...he produces WINS...that thats what counts!!! He needed to win a shootout to get back into it. My bet is that they will comeback and win tonite. Did anyone notice that Miro Satan GOT INTO A FIGHT LAST NITE?? HE fought some dude from Pittsburgh...but neither of them took their gloves off to fight but yet each got 5 minutes!! LOL...its on you tube...

OK, so you say the season is over? Maybe, maybe not...but someone please tell me. Isn't this what you expected after letting Briere and Drury go?

Why is this a surprise to all of you? Well, I'll tell you why...Because every year, no matter what the season is supposed to be like, and no matter how much we all tell ourselves that this will be a pretty bad year for them, we ALL cling to the possibility of that little phrase..."Anything can happen".

Say it with me brothers and sisters, "Anything can happen"...And many of us don't have to be died in the wool Sabres fans, but simply fans of the game...and as we watch the hometown boys, we don't buy into it...not at first anyways...and that one game comes along, and you start to think, "anything can happen"...and then the next thing you know, someone like Pominville quietly goes on a scoring streak, and now you're actually telling your wife or husband..."Hey, anything can happen"...and she or he says, "Honey, why do this to yourself? You know they will just break your heart", and you say, "I know, and I don't really like them, but you know what? Anything can happen".

and sadly, when the season looks like it's going to be over...and when it's the most important time to believe that "anything can happen"...If you're going to use all sorts of energy to say how much you knew they were going to suck this year...Just remember this feeling next year, you know, just before the All-Star break.

...and when you're listening to yourself think, "Man I hate the Sabres, but you know what? Anything can happen"...go outside, find the biggest rock you can find, or maybe even a brick, and hit yourself in the head with it...because mark my words...even if you're just a fan of the game, come next March, you'll just end up hating the world again.

It's Buffalo, what did you expect?

Actually they have Enroth in the wings and he is way better than Mr. Softee. Enroth is an Olympian for Team Sweden AKA the best hockey tema in the world!

forgot about the swede Enroth?
My take is that Miller is like a Desjardin...he wins games...(not lately) and he's not a stats winner... but a goalie is a product of the entire team.. when your defense limits the opponent to one shot and not second or third shots on a goalie..the goalie always looks good. Our defense is not good this year..and our forwards havent' gotten into a system of coming back and backchecking consistently...If you played the game..you know its NOT just Miller...we were spoiled with the best goalie in the NHL ...who
won games with a team that would only score one or two goals a game...

geez geezer... take something for that negativity your spewing... resorting to name calling- that's just sad. tsk-tsk.

getting back to the topic at hand... i never said that miller was the #1 goalie. I did say that he does usually win us games. i don't feel like the rest of the team plays as hard, or as consistently. nor do they take on as much blame, or responsibilty, for the games as he does. i happen to think he is our best player.

and, all sports players are over paid. time to get over it.

all i'm saying is that Miller can't carry the whole team. our defense is severly lacking as of late, and our offense is on-again, off-again... the whole team is responsible for how their playing... so, cranky ignorant people of the world - take that as you will....

but he should be stopping the fickin puck from going in... and he sure as h e l l isn't doing a great job of that right now. he blew it for us the other night when we made our comeback--he needs to step it up... that's how i am taking it!
