Shelley explains his role as Sharks' enforcer

Jody Shelley has been the most fierce player on the ice most of his career, it's true...but anyone who has ever met the man also knows that he is the most dedicated, loyal, honest, and sweetest guy in the world! Jody is a hero to a lot of people not only for his ability as an effective enforcer, but because of his kindness and generosity of spirit to anyone in need. He is loved and missed by so many Columbus Blue Jacket fans. He may wear a Sharks Jersey now, but he'll always be a Blue Jacket to my family and me. We love and miss you, Jody.
