Crosby, Penguins kick Flyers

Full story: The Morning Call

Sidney Crosby and the Penguins can finish off the Flyers back on home ice. A sliding Crosby scored a goal that ricocheted off his skate, his midsection and into the back of the net to spark Pittsburgh to a 3-1 win over Philadelphia on Tuesday night.

Hrm, somehow it just doesn't seem right that they give the credit to Crosby when it was really Fleury that kept the Flyers nearly scoreless. The Pens defense sucked and their goalie kept them in the game.

The Flyers played great last night, but Fleury played better.

Let's go Flyers! You're only one loss from elimination.

Yes, it was Fleury that won the game for the Pens. He was THE MAN last night. The Flyers had their chances (8 power plays) and couldn't get it past him.

Fleury was awesome! Just like in game 3 Biron played really well and Fleury was not so good. I just want to end it in 5 and be done!

The semi's are two rounds away my friend. If MAF plays like he did last night through the rest of the playoffs, they'll have no problem getting there.

I think Biron played awesome as well. Look at the Penguins three goals. One was an emty netter the other one Biron would have had to stop Crosby from going into net to make the save. So really Biron only let one really good shot get passed him.

Well, at this point, the Flyers are just gonna have to hope for 2 things: 1.) Emulate game 4's effort and 2.) Hope Fleury isn't as sharp.

Ummmmm, you gave up almost 50 shots? The goalie stops the shots on net...your defensemen and forwards as part of the overall defense needs to limit them.
If anyone needs more d...it is the Pens.

The Pens need to come out guns ablazing thursday. I do not want to see this go back to Philly. The one thing i hate about the Pens is that there d-fence seem to back in their own zone to far. Stand them up a little better at the blue line!

As for #1...this was the same as their game 3 effort and close to game #2 so it is not like it came out of nowhere.

#2...this one is simple. You "lose your balance" and fall into the crease feet first, skates up and see what happens.

cannot disagree about the pens defense either if they meet detroit or ANY western conference team with defense the same thing that happened last year will repeat itself.. The flyers just always seem to gag.. Some teams have that talent for that i guess..

Well and one more thing. Why is it the flyers "BIG STARS" ALWAYS.. seem to turn INVISIBLE in big games???? Quite disturbing...
