I hope Fedurok recovers for next season. He should have taken the rest of the year off after the
earlier boogeyman fight. I'm still pissed Bobby Clarke got rid of Brash. We need a heavyweight to protect our team and from embarrassment. Fridge should have never dropped since the Boogaard KO. He needs to heal before scrapping again. I wish hime the best in his recovery.

Here are replays of last nights scraps.

It's hard watching Fridge drop like that, but at least Eager had a decent scrap with Orr. I would call it a draw.

Eager should definetly not be fighting and never should have taken his cage off. Eager, i love his enthusiasm but he has a limited skill set. Brashears was a interesting player. He had some wheels ,a pretty good touch in and around the net and would take on all comers and he has leadership qualities

That's what I thought.
I was confused because Eager is young stock and is only getting better as a player and goon. He did fine job against Orr last night. He is a checkig artist and great open ice hits. It's really his first decent bout all season against a respected enforcer.

We need another Brashear-type enforcer back. Unfortunately Bobby Clarke tried to mold a finess team and as we see, it hasn't worked this season.
Good riddance for him.

Yes Brashear is kickass!! I loved that goal/ punch in the face against the Islanders the other night..

Speed and finesse is the new way in the league. This team this year was always in a retooling mode. Do you play in the leagues around here chadsky?

Tim, do you remember Friday night at the fights when we played Ottawa in March 2004? I was at that game. I have a link to that brawl if you want to check it out.

I said it was going to be a long year back in the pre-season.. when philly.com was allowing posts/comments and everybody jumped down my throat!! but 10 games in my predictions were right. and it really hasn't changed all that much.. the team lacks depth both up front and on the D.. I mean one player goes out and the team falls apart..
Glad to see they finally picked up some goaltending!!

Biron if he stays will help them. Niitymaki gives up too many soft goals at crucial moments. Carter and Richards were pretty ineffective with the exception of the last 15 games, Handzus for Calder, not much to say about that although Handzus was out the entire year for chicago. The big defensemen must go, no place for them in this league unless they can move like Phaneuf from Calgary. I think you will see a major overhaul in the offseason with all but 7-8 players leaving. Lets hope anyway.

Agreed.. There is lots of room for improvement.. I liked Hatch back in the day but the NHL changed and big slow guys like him are finnished.. it has been two years in the making but out with the old and in with the new!!

Hatcher and Rathje are big lurches like Therian was. They need to go, but their contract says otherwise I guess. We need more of those Johnson types on the D to shield Biron.

Daily Horoscope for December 19

Cancer

Hold it! You need to approach things in a calm, controlled manner today otherwise you're likely to get yourself into a state in no time at all. That's especially likely if you're trying to meet a deadline because you'll start to panic and then become all fingers and thumbs. You might also get extremely ratty with anyone who gets in your way or asks stupid questions. Come on, is that fair?
