Can the Panthers just play 40-minute games from here on out? They're having too much trouble in the third lately.(to lose on a PP on a freaking dive by their best player- someone should have fought after that nonsense. To hell with the last twenty seconds of the game)

That aside, where's Jokinen? He hasn't been a factor in the any games since Zednik's injury.

Another sickening loss. This team has no heart. The team as a whole lacks toughness, both physical and mental. This comes directly from the GM and Head Coach. I like Jacques, but it is time for him to step aside and get a head coach who will light a fire under this team. How many times can we lose like this? I am tired of all the excuses, injuries, illness etc. and I am tired of complaining about this sad team. As an original season-ticket holder, I am very close to giving them up and watching real hockey on the NHL package.

I never thought I'd say this, but I think it's time to trade Ollie Jokinen. And sadly enough, not do to any fault of his own, but because of the trade market and the premium he'll demand in return.

This crap has gone on long enough. The reason this team keeps choking, as I've posted numerous times before, is because it has no heart, no passion and no grit. If we can get 3, 4, maybe 5 meat and potato type guys, it'd be a good trade. Or maybe some form of second and third line mix. Or maybe a couple of aggressive forwards, a top tier prospect and a first round draft pick. Or something close to this would be good at this point.

But we need more North Americans!!! This passive Euro crap is just that, CRAP! Brian Burke did it in Anaheim and only came out of it with a Stanley Cup. Look back in history and you'll find that the great majority of teams that win Cups are overwhelmingly North American.
I think Ollie is great and it's terrible that he should be the sacrificial lamb, but in order for this team to make it to the next level, it has to use it's assets wisely. And if that means getting rid of your best player for the past 4-5 years, so be it.

This last game against the Pittsburgh Penguins showed just how valuable grinders are. The one line that was clicking for the Pens all night was the Georges Laraque-Jarkko Ruttu line. If those guys were on the Cats instead of the Pens after the Panthers gave up the first goal tonight, or when Carolina made 4-3 with 15 mins left in the third in Raleigh, those guys would've stepped in and regained control of the momentum and the Cats would've won both games and be in sole possession of first place.

Instead, here we are, all pissed off again and wondering why this crap keeps happening.

Trade Jokinen (to the highest bidder with the right mix of players), Branislav Mezie (aka Capt. Dumb Ass Penalties) and Jozef Stumpel (aka Capt. Bi-Polar....who knows which one is going to show up) immediately and build around the guys who are obviously ready to take over-Nathan Horton, David Booth, Jay Bouwmeester, Brian Allen, Rostislav Olesz, etc.

Because as tough as it is seeing Ollie go, it's tougher having him stay and having neither him nor the Panthers ever make the playoffs. Make the type of trade I'm suggesting and at least one-the Panthers-are guaranteed to make it, IMO.
